Their UX has gone downhill as well.Would be even better to just revert to the Big Sur style. Apple should really hire and/or train some real UI designers like they used to have.
huh? The address bar is back to being its own thing. if you have a lot of tabs and click around tabs are constantly shifting to make room for becoming a url bar.Not sure how this is an improvement...
Doesn't the tab bar autohide on scroll like it did before? Hoping it does. This looks like crap. So much wasted vertical space. 🤢
Have you tried Brave browser? I think this is the best of the Chromium breed of browsers. The fastest by far.I've switched to Edge on Mac and it's really nice. Safari is still good but I prefer Edge. Bigger fonts for example, on the favourites bar - that sort of thing.
This is why I never do betas on my daily drivers.Sorry for the long rant. I just needed to get it off my chest. And I also know…. First world problems.
I feel like I’m the only person that liked the change! Oh well, not a big deal to me at the end of the day am I’m one to never really have more than 5 tabs open and close them as soon as I’m done. I mostly appreciated how the interface stayed thin with more than one tab open. Oh well, can’t please everyone!
its in the "view" menu if anyone is wanting to go back to the unified design (I really like the new unified version)Hang on, this is an option!! The new merged address/tab bar is the default and you have the option to have a separate tab bar like above in Preferences.
Yeah, but as @zorinlynx mention… coding and maintaining would be such a hassle.Wouldn't it be nice to have a toggle in preferences, as I think someone mentioned, to switch between a traditional design & the new compact design?
Under the View menu, "Show Separate Tab Bar" is the option in questioni'm not seeing the ability to go to the new design. it was way better than the tab bar
