If I single (left) click in the empty field where you type in the Messages app, it behaves like I'm right clicking there. If I right click, it behaves like a regular click. Weird.

Still can't update apps since beta 1 and also still can't see all my purchased app (Any app NOT installed wants you to repurchase) since beta 2. It seems they are not fixing anything because the feedback doesn't even seem to be touched when you file it. It seems Apple is 100% focused on cosmetics and NOT the bugs. My guess is they will fix all the bugs right before launch or in 26.1
See my post on Page #2 of this thread. I've had this issue since beta 1 and I put down what worked for me to fix this:

Anyone else unable to view new updates in the App Store? With Sequoia, I could go to the Updates page in the App Store and then choose "Reload Page" from the menu bar to load the latest updates. Now, the "Reload Page" option is grayed out, and apps that I know have updates available aren't showing.
Been broken since the 1st Beta. Just report in the Feedback app. If enough of us complain maybe they will fix. I had hoped they would fix it before the PB... Hopefully B4 won't be PB

There was a beach ball again at "54 minutes remaining" 5 minutes later it skipped to 28 and then to 8 minutes and then to 43 seconds...

anyone else lost is clock widget?

Nevermind, just got it back

I even got a crash window for the for "World Clock Widget". But it already had been restarted when I looked in the sidebar. I wonder if this is happening at every reboot now.

Missing icon. Came back after opening System Settings for the fourth time.

And the icon is gone again after all icons reloaded for whatever reason.

Folder color pink is still red.

I can't even see my previous purchases. I see like only 15 apps purchased instead of like 120. Is there a way to accesss App Store via web to download my previously bought apps for MacOS?

In the Updates section I see four apps that got updated autmatically today and yesterday. I can also see all my purchases back to 2013, except the ones that I have hidden.

is anyone able to get the Mac app store to show app updates? Since the 1st beta up to an including today's it's not showing any app updates.

Here’s the step-by-step that worked for me:
  1. Sign out of the Mac App Store and Force Quit Everything Related to the App Store.
    • First, force quit the App Store itself (press Option + Command + Esc, select App Store, and click Force Quit).
    • Next, open Activity Monitor. Use the search bar in the top-right and kill these three processes one by one (just select them and click the (X) button at the top):
      • App Store (if it's still showing up)
      • appstoreagent
      • AppStoreService
  2. Clear the App Store Caches. This is the most important step, as the issue is usually a corrupted temporary file.
    • Close everything and go to your Finder.
    • Click Go in the menu bar at the top, then click Go to Folder...
    • Paste this exact path in and hit Enter: ~/Library/Caches/
    • Find these two folders and drag them straight to the Trash:
      • com.apple.AppStore
      • com.apple.appstoreagent
    • (Don't worry, this is totally safe. The App Store will create fresh new ones when it reopens.)
  3. Restart Your Mac. A simple restart will make sure everything starts up fresh.
After your Mac restarts, open the App Store and log back in. It took about 40 min for updates to show back up.
Did not work for me unfortunately .

Good for you, I see mix of few apps I have purchased - downloaded 2025=2015 . . but only like 15 of them, when I search for an app I have purchased, it shows only as not purchased with price. Unable to search previous purchases.
This is even worse than before. Reported.

Apple News app just disappeared. I checked iCloud settings too, just poof, gone. Anyone else? Checked 2 machines on beta 4.

EDIT: Weird, they had it hidden. command-shift "." revealed it:

That's what I posted earlier... if you are in the EU (Germany) News is disabled. I recently found it sitting (more than) hidden in the Programs folder. You can't unhide but you can either create a shortcut of it or pull it directly into the dock. It will work like charm ...

Can anybody try on their Mac. Pressing COMMAND + F and writing cube, right after I press "e" the finder window crashes and no search or files are found. Reported in Beta1, Still happening on my MBP Max on Beta 3.

Anyone else wishing that they'd update the system to have more animations? To me one of the best things about the new design on iOS is all of the fluid and delightful animation, macOS 26 feels almost stoic in comparison.

I’ve seen in some videos when the first beta came out that windows now open/close with a subtle animation, is that still the case?

If you want to unhide all hidden files permanently you can copy this text into Terminal and press Enter:

defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles true

Finder needs to be restarted after that, in Teminal you can use this command:

killall Finder

You can undo it by just replacing true with false.

does not work for the News.app ... seems to have some more protection inherited by apple as it is related to region too
