I didn't think of this as a popularity contest so much as those who I have had some banter with in various forums as well as those with whom I have had PM conversations. Etc. And a couple people who I generally thought sounded interesting. So specifically in my case the lack of mentioning you is that I really haven't had any direct contact with you. Even though you are a 1st page top 30 post count.

I don't know why. I've seen a pic of you-and you're one hot tamale. Seriously, you should give us another sometime.

I was one of those few who caught the Diatribe photo too. I asked if he was gay because his place and clothes were so tidy. :p Definitely RAWR! :D ...at least from what I can remember. <hint>

Hehe, temporary lapse in judgement that was corrected almost fast enough. :D
Seriously though, I don't know why but I just don't feel comfortable posting pictures of myself around the internet. But I don't mind that a couple of people saw it... they are some of the same people why I keep coming back here, so it's all good. :p

And thanks for the compliments, very much appreciated. :)

Alright, I have some time to actually think now (Finals have kept me busy) so let me start a real list.

Doctor Q- He seems like a very nice and all-around great person. I think he's be the one to make most of the jokes if we were at a meetup.
Unless of course...

...Abstract- comes. He's the guy who creeps you out. But in a good way. I guess.

raggedjimmi- He seems laid back and easy going. Gotta love a guy like that.

iMpathetic- Gotta give him a good lecture about brand loyalty. :D :p (He knows what I'm talking about.)

So many more I don't have time (nor the pateince, sadly) to name.

I'd like to meet most everyday, sans for a few people that I'm not exactly on good terms with. This is a pretty great community. (Well, at least all the regulars are.:p)

There have been pics of me all over the net (some have shown all). I've had no problems, but then again, I just don't really care that much. So I'd venture to guess that you just putting your pretty face on line isn't going to get you in trouble. But hey- that's up to you.

My real self is very different. Don't know how or why mind! I'm jolly and silly there. Online one has to be super cereal.

ok, i wasn't going to take the time to do this
and i apologize to anyone that i leave out here, cause i want to meet so many.
now, not necessarily in this order...

Doctor Q - he made me a goddess
Iscariot
- he inspires me to climb higher
rdowns
- never fails to make me laugh
Abstract - (but only in a public place!) he makes me smile
MacDawg - i'd like to make him smile
ezzie1029 - she'd be fun to hang out with
iBlue - i think she could teach me a few things
xUKHCx
- he warned me
Teh Don Ditty - he warned me too
Neil321 -
a couple of reasons, one having to do with a broom, the other with what xUKHCx and TDD warned me about

I'm pretty sure you don't have to participate but making people feel like they're being creepy on account of their desire to meet someone offline is rather silly. :/

Before I answer, is Chris Hansen a Mac user?

Even though their birthdates say they are over 18, I don't want to run into Chris Hansen at a MacRumors Member GTG.

    ...

 HEY! :p

So you know though, I think you were the first person I buddy listed a couple years ago because I think you're a funny mo-fo and I dig tall dudes who like LOLcats and make creep-o-meters for threads. :D If I was actually making a list, you'd be in the upper bits of the top 5, most definitely.

Coming in a bit late, but I'd like to meet a lot of people. CalBoy and Iscariot top the not-inclusive list. Were I in Chicago, Lee, PoD and Ms. Gio would absolutely have a fourth (at least) for a get-together, and I want to meet pretty much all of the MacRumors UK contingent.

BTW- in case anyone is wondering, I'm the same a**hole in real life that I am here. :)

Then you'll get the gay vote -->

I do agree with yellow and PlaceofDis, though. This thread is just a huge popularity contest, and lets face it, popularity on an internet forum is very related to how often you post here, and how long you've been here. The members that people want to meet just happen to be the most prolific posters, and that's no coincidence. Think about the Jewish one. If you asked this question 6 months ago, MJ would be on 90% of lists. Once he stops posting 31 times/day for 6 months, he becomes "less" on these forums.

If you post here often, then we hear from you more often, learn more about you, and that's that. This also means that your popularity here is somewhat related to how big an internet geek you are, and how bad your "real" social life is. Is this a contest we want to win? ;)

None! especially not any who'd take part in such a popularity contest

Just kidding, given past experiences and surprises I honestly couldn't say. People tend to be rather different in person to how they are online, I certainly am.

Someone said me! Woo!

They called me freaky, but who cares :D

EDIT: Out of curiosity, why'd ya say that?

So, the people who win are, by your definition, the least likely to actually want to meet anyone.

I never thought about it as a popularity contest. I guess cause I never was popular, cause I'm too much of a geek and have no social life. Which is fine with me, I'm very happy here. But I'm not popular here either... I'll just go back to my bucket.;)
