There seems to be an abundance of Chicago users here. Maybe a get-together is in order.

I'm only a mid-level stalker. Aside from late night phonecalls w/eerie heavy breathing, underwear theft and mild death threats, there's no need to worry.

Lee and i have tried to organize a get together in the past, but it fizzled, but we can always try again, i'm game.

Old posts but I would be game sometime. I wouldn't be suprised if I ran across some of you before and didn't even know it. I run in many circles and am friends with people of many different mindsets/interests/political views/orientations/etc...even Mac haters! I remember hearing someone talk about Mac Rumors at one of the Apple Store openings but I never said anything.....

As for this thread....it really creeps me out. There are many members who I find very intruiging and would love to meet. However, I don't really want to name names as that seems weird to me.

No offence to any one but English to me sounds boring and plain now. Latin would be "refreshing" and besides it is a very useful language.
I am going to learn Latin some time in a couple years.

 You speak a language for its functionality, not because it's refreshing. Or at least most of us do? Most just learn a second language.

The language of Mac-users city should be Latin in my opinion.

Latina elegantissima computationis lingua est.

And I agree on the whole Latin thing. Latin is cool - they should still speak it as a national language.

They do in the Vatican.

Moo ha ha ha! Could take pics and email 'em. :D Or just up and mail 'em, except that takes money. :/

And I agree w/ teh Kretzy™, I've had the pleasure of meeting a few MRers and it's typically been great. ;)

Some of your fellow Chicago MR peoples may have already met on several occasions. You never know unless you ask, or until they mention it in a thread.

There's a good chance that if you or someone else tried to organize something, and you all agreed on a suitable date, a few would go.

Just think about the London picnics each year. They don't just happen magically. :) People plan those, and it's not just the public threads. Sometimes people contact each other via PM or AIM/MSN, and chat, and then meet for drinks.
