Contrast in colors makes this very HARD to read!
Please play around a little more with your fonts and colors, perhaps tone down the blues and bold the right side. It desperately needs more depth of color to stand out and not be hard to read.

Agreed. I get the same issue with the horizontal scrollbar on Safari. Although some people want more width on their widescreens, the min-width should be around 1004px to accomodate for the vertical scrollbar. The most-used resolution is still 1024x768 so I would recommend lopping off some pixels. If you want it to fill up your window, do the fluid link.

Anyone else noticing a yellow tinge towards the sides and bottom of the page? Or is it just my iMac? 
You're not seeing the full, new layout. Empty your cache and reload.
I like the new layout, and I appreciate the dynamic width option (and think it should be the default), but the site feels more difficult to read. I think the font is just too big by default. It really bothers me for some reason.
Glad to see the voting go, it was always stupid and in many cases unclear what people were for or against. I hope it doesn't come back.
The up/down on the forum seems pointless as well, if you're going to use it on the forum at least why not use it to hide posts that get a bunch of negatives to better filter out trolls?

Excellent update. One of the few redesigns online where I was pleasantly surprised. Still true to the original, doesn't affect my previous UI habits and feels familiar even though it's new. I also appreciate the forward planning of making it very accessible on an iPad or iPhone/iPod from the very beginning. Excellent work Arn & team!

I see it too. Or maybe you just put the thought in my head and now I see what I think should be there.
I don't get why people are complaining about the width. My browser is always half of my screen because i multitask. Why people run their browser full screen on a 27 inch monitor confuses me.
Turn the brightness down
Anyhoo...the site def looks more modern and clean...it just feels weird.

While the speed improvements + fluid width support are nice, the color scheme should be improved toward more blueish scheme. Why would you mix two completely different colors all over the site and make it even more inconsistent on the forums with more different colors? Consistency is key to any design and this redesign doesn’t have it.
The forums are all brown-ish colors while the header are have three shades of blue. The same goes for the front page, each news post is drastically different while the sidebar have two different colors as well.It is inconsistency that’s driving me nuts on this redesign. I’d recommend either change the color scheme back to the original one or change the front page/forums to a shade of blue used in the header.

Main site looks good, forum's feel a little left out with only header and footer featuring new design. Oh and they need to drop the advertising for demi's.
Love the new site arn. But I must be honest, the side panel(s) on the right are, to me at least, completely useless and take away from the news as a whole (yes, even using the Fluid layout).
What did you do with, or to, the mobile version of the forums? I find this totally unusable on my iPhone. I'll have to give up reading the forums if it stays this way.
