Any one know if they may be releasing new Cinema Displays? The 23" one I have is almost three years old, time to update the line Apple.
in my opinion we probably won't see revamped displays until it's feasible to use LED backlighting in them. currently, LED is much too expensive for displays that size (notice how it's not even in the 17" MBP).

I think they're in good time to get a refresh - they've been the same for quite a while. A lot of people would like to see built in microphone and iSights. The bezels are a bit too thick, especially when using a dual set up.

True, but what about:

1) Built in iSight cams
2) IR sensor for the Apple Remote (Mac Pro's are the only systems that don't have one built in iSight and don't utilize Front Row)
3) HDMI and other newer connectors
4) It's been over three years since the revamp, and as the prices have been lowered recently it may seem Apple is on the move for new Cinema Displays

I hope they aren't waiting for LED technology to become more economically feasible. While it would be nice, I definitely need to replace my almost three year old 23" HD Aluminum Cinema Display soon.

Does anyone know how long the live feed stays up for? I get home around 3 PM EST (12 PM PST) and I like reading the feed, even if it already happened. Thanks in advance!

Doesn't this website usually have a little keynote countdown at the top of the page?

SMS Spam, please help

I signed up for SMS and now it is stuck sending me the message "You'll receive a message every time Macrumors Notify updates. To disable send LEAVE MACRUMORS..."

I tried sending Leave Macrumors and nothing happened.

I'm getting a message about once a minute.

you can send "stop" to "40404" and it should stop. or "off". Or send "help" to" 40404" and that should send u help.

or send them a support message. Sorry about that. must be a strange bug on their side (twitter).

I remember back when MR implemented an ajax-based live update system, there was a page describing the backend systems and told how everything worked. I could be insane so was there such a thing? If so, is it still online?

Thanks

Arn (or anyone else involved with the backend),
How often will SMS messages come in? Only for the major headlines (ie, "Apple Introduces MacBook Pro nano"), or every one line update from the feed?

And not only will I be in a conference from 1:15-3, I will likely be in a conference room in the precise center of a concrete and steel building, where there is zero cell coverage. Wonderful.

Has anyone successfully signed up for the SMS updates for tomorrow, I seem to be having difficulty......Twitter support has been no help so far

good work guys! Amazing services you've got for us all to enjoy!

Personally, I'm all about the keynote video! Does anyone know roughly when that will made available by Apple, maybe based on past events? Are we talking a few hours, or a day or two?

I'm hoping it'll be up by the time those of us on Eastern Time are done with work (5:00 PM ET, 4:00 PM CT, 3:00 PM MT, 2:00 PM PT), since that's when I'll return home and actually be able to view it. If not, I'm subscribed to the keynote notification mailing so I'll be ready when it is :D

is anyone else sitting at work bored out of you mind with the update page on your screen waiting? ...yeah me neither that would be pretty lame.
