I have been unable to use MacRumors on Safari because I have been seeing glitch that garbles up the entire page on my iMac running 10.15.6 However, the website works fine in Google Chrome.

Any idea why this might be happening?

it appears to be an iMac-specific issue:

What's your iMac and GPU model?

I get this on my MacPro3,1 with GTX 680 sometimes. I just reload in a new tab and close the old one.

My iMac is a late 2013 27 inch iMac with 3.4 GHz Intel Core i5 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 775M 2GB graphics

So, I downgraded my iMac to Mojave and it is looking alright again. I will keep an eye on it though.

Works AOK on Safari 14 in Catalina. Looks like an adblocker glitch.
I do have AdBlock extension installed. Catalina 10.15.6 (19G2021). Safari 13.1.2. I'll watch for problems in the future. It's a rare occurrence though. I don't remember if the last time was before or after the last update I installed.

I've had the odd graphics problem on MacRumors site with Safari 14.0.1 also, on a MacBookPro 15" Retina, mid-2012 running Big Sur beta 10 (see unsupported mac thread). The fix for me was to disable/stop displaypolicyd process. The terminal command is:
Code:
sudo launchctl stop com.apple.displaypolicyd
To enable again use same command changing "stop" to "start" (use no quotes)
Check to see if the displaypolicyd is not running with Activity Monitor.

Note: to use the Dynamic Switching (graphics) I use gfxCardStatus v2.4.4i.
