i have one also for customer, i just update because the software tells me to update, but it takes 5hours, and the progress bar is not coming, so i decided to unplugged it, and now the fuelband always error52..is there any way to flash the firmware?
Runkeeper does a totally different thing to this.

You can factory reset it in the program itself.

Can that watch track my distance without me needing to use the Nike+ module in my shoes? I just want a slim watch that can track distance, nothing else.. think this is it, but not certain![]()
Under the Technology tab, it says" You'll need Nike+ ready shoes and one of these" so yes, you will need Nike+ ready shoes.
Cheers!

For the Fuelband - I take it it don't register anything if you wave you arms around like crazy? It only registers movements from the sensor in your shoes?
It's actually the other way around. It tracks arm movement only. So if you run, you better move your arms.
Oh.. so you can wear it all day with different clothes and different shoes? Don't need to keep using that nike+ sensor?
Nope no need to, the band has its own sensor and app. The Nike sensor in shoes is an alternative since I believe it plots gps and exactly how far you ran.
Still haven't beaten your higher score of 4900. Hope tomorrow's golf day may help.
