my best day this month!

half day at office, late night game of hoops

This looks very tempting, but I run 5 to 6 days a week and I generally don't move my arms so I don't think this is a good product for me. When I do karate (3 days a week), that's a different story.

You don't move your arms when you run, you must do?

Not too much, I'm not pumping them like I would during a sprint. They're about mid chest level and I keep them by the rib cage generally not moving them

I like to refer to the fuelband as not just an exercise monitor but something that keeps track of daily movement also.

How does that really help though? In a month or two when you look back and see higher than average days, will you remember what you did those days? Is there some way to input notes in the software?

Day to day is what I am referring to. Like one day you are doing what you normally do, but you notice your Fuel score is only 1500. So next day, you incorporate more activity because you want to get the score higher. For example, get off the train/elevator earlier and walk.

Anyway, this was yesterday: Mostly consisted of walking around the office and commuting.

You can add comments to any day, and there are emoticons for your mood which you can post next to your comment. See Bruse Waynes screenshot, he has left a comment top left of the emoticon.

So I bought a fuelband and so far I really like it.

I also recently bought some shoes that have the Nike+ sensor in them. I'm not running currently but is there any linkage between the two or are they entirely separate entities?

They're separate. But can work at the same time!

The fuelband tracks your fuel points all day, running or not.

The Nike+ Sensor works with Nike+ apps to track distance, pace and uploads online too.

Look, at your profile page you can see a switch -

How reliable is the fuel band though? I mean, if I lift my arm up and back down, will it count it as a step etc?
If so, doesn't that make it completely inaccurate and unreliable?
I want to buy one, but I question it's accuracy and reliability etc. I know it can't be completed accurate, but I'd like it to be a little accurate!
How are you guys finding it?
Thanks

I got mine awhile ago I love it but, always take it off to shower or sleep and then forget it then a day or two later put it on. My graphs look great, great, 0, great, 0, 0, 0.

It's a good device just not a fan of the different charging cable which I keep misplacing also.

It charges in any usb port.

As soon as someone figures out a way for this to work for swimmers, let me know.
