thanks Gekko. you gave me some great competition. i wouldn't have reached that many miles over my winter break without this challenge. so congrats to you as well!

I went to a Nike Factory store and they were sold out of all the Nike+ except for one womens model. I plan on getting the whole kit after Macworld.

I'd order online, but I have wide feet, so I need to try shoes on before buying them, and because I like testing shoes before buying them.

I went to the Apple store to buy a Nike+ Sport Kit for a christmas present for someone and they were sold out. They recommended I go to Champs. They had one left behind the counter. I guess it's starting to get more popular.

I just PMed liketom the email addy I used to sign up on the nike+ website, as I'd like to be a part of this, too. One of my New Year's resolutions is to run 400 miles, and I'll be keeping track of that distance with my new (refurbished) nano and nike+ kit. I can't wait for it to get here!

If there's anything else I need to do to get started, let me know!

That sounds like a solid goal of just over 1.1 miles a day. Nice.

I'm signed up now and I won't come close to winning - but I'll be taunting all those around me in the middle of the pack :D

And its fun that it starts 7 PM tonight for me - that way I can get a run in before midnight here.

Wait how did I not get in on this challenge again? If I were all that sensitive I'd be offended. Liketom was there something that I should have done differently to get the invite or is it just me?
