I twisted my ankle pretty badly on Sunday, but still managed to run a 5K on Monday. And another one yesterday. Probably not the best idea, I suppose; I'll need to get it x-rayed when I get back from my trip next week. It's still a little swollen, although it doesn't hurt to run on it.

I'm fairly pleased with my mileage this month - it's a record for me. My speed has improved significantly, with May being over 11 seconds faster than my long term average.

I just hope my ankle is nothing serious, since I've got a half-marathon to run in a little over 3 weeks.

Debating running a 10k tonight to try an break 250k for the month. We'll see how I feel when I get out there. I'm also excited about my pace this month, I'm down around 5 sec/km from last month and I've been going farther.

go for it! ;)

and good job this month! keep it up ;)

i'm sorry to hear that. it must not be that bad if you can run on it. but i hope that it gets better :)

Yeah, it doesn't hurt when I run, but if I teist it the wrong way it's quite painful. I just don't want to do any permanent or long-term damage, so I'm going to stop running until I get it checked out next week. Unfortunately, I can't do it before then.

Well I opted for a fast 6.5+k run.. but followed it with a brisk 20k bike ride..

This road bike I got last week is truly a blast, I think my monthly mileage may suffer a bit.

good job! yeah, the bike will hurt your miles. at least you got a road bike. i have a mountain bike, and 2 years ago, went on an 80-mile bike ride. i haven't ridden the bike since

Congrats, Twood! QCassidy too! 207 miles each and less than a mile seperated you guys. QCassidy - average 7:08 life time is nice.

rickvanr - congrats on 3rd place - over 150 - I have never done that. I did have vacation this past month so the miles were down but I am getting faster - may had me at 8:06 / milewhere I was 9:16 / mile in January - need to continue to get faster so I am hoping for sub 8:00 for June.

Good stuff in May everyone - keep up the good work - reach your personal goals - a mile a day is 30+ a month - come one - everyone can do that...

Let's go!
