The iPad will go on sale starting at 9 am Eastern on Sat, April 3rd -- less than 24 hours away. In the final lead up to Apple's latest product launch, we thought we'd ask our readers if they were actually buying (or planning on buying) an iPad or not. Sales projections have been promising, but we won't know for sure for some time.

So, are you buying an iPad?

Though I ultimately see the 3G model being the one to own to get the most out of your iPad I am going to go with the wifi for now. Gonna play with it a bit and see what irons out (pricing maybe?) and then the wifi will become the wifes new iPad! Had planned for that plan to last until the next upgrade but will have to see what developers have up their sleeves or just really how I end up using the machine. Time will tell.
 
I'm getting the 16gb WiFi .. and if I like it I'll get the 16gb 3G next month and give the WiFi to my mother.
 
I'm buying a 16GB Wifi to pass the time till I can buy a 64GB 3G... There's not much of an option for me in this poll.

As we Europeans still have no clue, where the price point will be and when we will receive it, I will have to wait.

Nevertheless if there's a decent subsidy on an unlimited Data 3G plan, I'll go with whatever company offers that.

So I'll wait til I see something like 299€ for 64GB 3G model - so June will be the time I'll buy :cool:
 
I want to meet the guy/girl who rates these posts as Negative. I don't get it. Nonetheless, I ordered the 32GB w/ 3G and patiently waiting for a shipment notification. Got one this morning and nearly screamed -- too bad it was only for the dock that I ordered.
 
If I did it would be the 3G model. I travel with my laptop all the time. I know how hard it can be to find wi-fi when you really need it. Right now I solve that by carrying a 3G Card.

The data plan they setup with AT&T is very reasonable and seems very fair.
 
Seeing as they still haven't even told us how much it'll cost in the UK... I'm waiting to see. If I do get one it'll be a WiFi model with as much storage as I can afford.
 
need another option " yes, but oh wait...i can't because we (belgium) don't even have price & release date yet!!

Maybe.

I can see this really kicking off and being a really cool couch surfer.. but then again I like using a keyboard and mouse and switching between tabs effortlessly.

We'll see... I don't really enjoy surfing the web on my iPhone, but I can't say for the iPad until I try it for myself.
 
64GB Wifi, if I find that I really need 3g, I'll consider that for v2 whenever it gets released.
 
pre-ordered the 32Gb 3G and having it sent to my mother-in-law. She'll ship it overseas to me.

My 2006 MBP Core Duo is getting long in the tooth... I'm on my 3rd battery (twice replaced through AppleCare) and this one now says: Service Battery. The iPad will replace the MBP.

And before anyone shouts at me - the iPad won't replace the iMac sitting in my home office that I use for photography.
 
Can't think of a use for it. And the point of this poll is what exactly?
 
after a couple of days of seeing reviews and the apps coming out, I think I'm going to get one. Haven't pre-ordered so I might just go early tomorrow and wait things out
 
I would probably buy the 64GB Wifi version if I had the extra cash laying around. What I'm saying is, I have no plans to buy one right now. :D

Maybe next year...
