Better battery life?

Buy a Mophie. I got the Mophie and Zagg screen protector when I got my 5s, and I just love them. They make my iPhone look and feel like a real piece of equipment instead of a toy, and I only need to charge it after 3 to 4 days of use. I've accidently knocked it off my table onto the hard oak floor six times in the last month without any marks or breakage. It's a great combo.

I purchased the Mophie at the Apple Store, and had the Zagg installed at their kiosk just outside the Apple Store in our shopping mall.

Hope a larger screen is not the only thing! I want something mind blowing that will destroy competition much like the original iPhone did (in my opinion)

Then what you want isn't a phone. The iphone was an internet, communications device, that happened to also have phone functionality. So what you're really saying is that you want something other than a smartphone...that will replace the iphone.

Am I the only one who is still upset about the naming scheme?

The 5 was the 6th gen phone and the 5c was the 7th. Personally, I think that they should have changed it to just iPhone, like they did with the iPad

It makes sense since the numbering scheme now coincides with the 2-year leases. Just upgraded my 4s to a 5s, and the next one will be a 6s. I think it's a great idea.

I definitely want a bigger screen. Only reason I'm not switching over to a nexus 5 is because I'm not too keen on android.

HOWEVER, for me, if the iphone 6 is not at least 4.5" I will be switching to the nexus 5 or equivalent next year 100%.

So for me, apple you have 9 more months to give me something!

:D

MacRumors Roundup: What We Expect for iPhone 6

My guess:

4.5-4.7" display, higher resolution to preserve PPI.

Home button eliminated. TouchID technology integrated into the entire display, as suggested by Apple patent.

32, 64, 128 GB options.

A8/M8 processors.

Improved camera.

Not much bigger than 5/5S.

Wireless backup to computer/time machine/cloud would solve that problem... Cloud storage should be a lot less expensive by now (Apple could easily reduce costs based upon storage/bandwidth charges). In actual fact Apple could Mirror everyone's iPhone on the cloud... Given the extras price they charge for extra capacity flash, this could more than offset any cost. A plug may be fast and simple, but look at the number of chips needed, and the physical size of it. A mix of liquid metal forming the case, and resin, could provide the induction coil for charging within the case itself, as well as all antennae etc. whilst retaining rigidity, and still reducing the material needed for the case.

A wireless only device is a MAJOR PITA when it bricks.... and when you sell 10's of millions of iPhones, thats a lot of bricks.

Not to mention, a plug is just such a fast, simple, cheap and the most reliable option that removing it just wouldn't make sense.

Direct message to investors

Dear Investors,

Note to all of you that have been here since $8 a share. Listen up, please.

Eff the PR, Eff the analysts, Eff the financial institutions. They're all doing their best to play you for their own benefit.

I don't give an Eff, personally, about the financial benefits or detriments to any given investment decision you might make. I just have opinions that I've been diligently considering since I was cognizant (am. sp.).

Eff Ruben. Eff the pressure to return to the status quo that is indigent to the attempt to make smart phones commodities to the drive to spy and own small parts of one's digital life, rather than the inalienable drive to use that which is essentially designed for oneself for one's own interests.

Apple makes the best products because of their concern for quality-driven process. This will ultimately be their saving grace, as I've argued since 1990, because caring about quality is the ultimate grace offered to consumers.

Let them expand to video and TV on demand, let them expand to bio-sensors in wearables... as long as Cook does right with regard to their quality driven process and fearless refusal to release anything that doesn't showcase all competitors as 3-4 years behind the curve, then WE. ARE. GOOD.

I like my 5S but I still find myself coming back to an old galaxy S2 (tmobile version) because I find the screen size better and also swype is very important

(iPhone 6 mini $00.99) 3.5"
(iPhone 6 air $99.00) 4"
(iPhone 6 pro $199.00) 5" or so
called it first ;)

I'm gonna bet that the next iphone will have a similar if not identical design to the iPad Air and retina Ipad mini: roughly same thinness, same bezel, same back with a plastic cutout for cellular antennas.

It will be like a next gen throwback to the original iphone. that would be awesome.

Home button GONE.

Edge to edge screen (will not be curved).
Finger print reader will be incorporated into the entire screen.
Lighter and thinner.
A8.

Wider screen.
Back will be curved at the edges to compensate for a wider screen.

Hopefully a bigger screen also means a wider one. Reason why I passed on the 5 and 5s. I have a Note 2 right now and I don't think I would like to go anything smaller than what the GS4 is

----------

Better yet update iOS to support user-level file system and add flash memory cards.

Yes! Expandable memory would be amazing but doubt it'll happen, actually I know it wont happen

The iPhone 6's newest features will be it's compatiblity with the new iWatch/band that is likely to be released next year. I use the fitbit band and I love it. It's awesome. If the iWatch can take that concept further somehow, and integrate it with the iPhone6 they will have a winner. Nevertheless, I believe that the iPhone6 will be built so that if you want to take full advantage of everything that it offers, you will need to get the iWatch.

Why would they use a curved display? Curved displays are just a stupid idea--what advantage does curvature offer? The LG G2 Curve has a convex display and it simply makes the phone awkward in the pocket, makes the screen fuzzier/ghosted and throws off the touch sensor. I'm betting Apple won't follow LG in this department. I also don't see Apple making a 6" giant phone either--perhaps slightly larger (say 4.3-4.5") and certainly with a new, non-iOS resolution (probably 1920*1080), but not huge. I wonder if iOS 7 allows for adaptive resolution independence, or if every app will have to be recoded?
