This is my prediction.

I believe the new iPhone will not come with a Blu-ray drive. I know many have been speculating that the iPhone 4D will have a Blu-ray drive, however I feel the size of the device will limit the ability to fit one in. Apple also wants to push iTunes. Why would they put a Blu-ray drive on the phone when they want you to pay to download the movies?

I disagree.

Recent Apple patents reveal that they've developed a technology know as "Mary-Poppins" that allows one to insert peripherals, including discs, into seemingly impossibly small slots or drives. I believe these patents may surface in the iPhone 4HDGS due to be announced tomorrow.

That's exactly what I've been saying. People who are now in the know (given the fact that we're less than 12 hours from the keynote) usually come forward with all sorts of extra tidbits. I'm in a situation where If Verizon iPhone is November I might have to do month-to-month with AT&T until then. Currently on T-Mobile 1st Gen with 5.99 t-zones hack to get full Edge, but boy that 3GS keeps up with my attention span! Just moved to a new house with horrible T-Mobile coverage, so something has got to give. Would be great for the Gizmodo iPhone ends up being close, because an even faster CPU is fine by me.

Hope even I am surprised tomorrow.

Driving into work today I hear the sports talk show that I listen to talking about the WWDC today. They're so misinformed that they are saying that "It's speculated that Apple will announce their iPhone 4G..." and "Is this the first 4G phone?" They now keep going on an on about the difference in 3G and 4G. Had a couple callers, but still no one has said this is NOT going to be a 4G phone! A litle bit annoying...

Amen. I'm off to the pub after work and will kick back with a pint of Doom Bar, my wireless connection, and the keynote. Great start to the week :)
 
What exactly is spoiler free at a keynote speech? Are they going to talk about what he is wearing?
 
thanks to being laid off three weeks ago i may be "watching" this event live...though a 10 month old son will probably find his way to make sure i don't.
 
I have only had my 3GS 6 months and the speed boost was very noticeable from my 3G. Everything was alot nippier. On my old 3G when typing a text message there was a 1-2 second lag on what keys I was pressing.

Only thing I want to find out is how much the new iPhone will cost in the UK without a contract :)

After tonights keynote I will be ordering an iPad (32GB wifi) and new iPhone :D Then wait very excitedly for both to arrive lol

You are clearly speaking about the Tardis technology the new iPhone uses.

Even though the outside of the police bo... err device is of normal size, the inside is nearly limitless in its size.
 
newbie here. Does steve usually announce everything the first day (today) on the keynote?
if so what goes on during the rest of the days?

Does anyone know if there is an alternative to MacRumor's spoiler free keynote stream that is more prompt? Typically, it takes a couple of days before MacRumors sends me an e-mail.
 
...meanwhile....,

...100% of the Apple competition (specially google and m$) are waiting for the guiding light of SJ and Apple so that they can rush to a frenzy of copy-cat 'meeee-tooo' , 'inovate here also' and 'iWhatEver' device killer copies (looking at you samsung)...
 
iphone upgrade eligibility

So it looks like customers can upgrade to the new iphone 6 months early. Is this only for existing iPhone customers? I currently have a blackberry and would like to upgrade to the new iphone...any ideas?
