Welcome to MacRumors... You seem to have absolutely no idea why this site exists, so I suggest going to Apple's forum or ignoring these threads if you don't get it.

Yep, no idea. Thanks for setting me straight. 250 prior threads about potential 32gb and yet this is the end all of the 32gb threads. With ZERO new info in it. No different then the other 250 threads prior.

Yep and I'm the one that doesn't understand. LOL thanks again for setting me straight.

+1. Another thread on speculation. Wow. The OP sure is confident. His tarot card reader must have told him.

Okay, maybe from you guys PERSONALLY reading the site, you know the obvious, but these people didn't know:

That's 11 threads all wondering the same thing. It's just like the speaker thing. This is just common sense to a regular, but someone new to the iPhone wouldn't know this unless they always follow mac updates. Before saying this thread is useless, why would you click on such a useless thread? Thanks for your feedback though, it really serves no purpose. :)

So, just to be clear, you think there will be a 32GB on January 6th?

If so, You can find me with a 32GB iPhone at the Apple Store on January 6th. :p:p

MacWorld... belongs to Macs...

Maybe the iPhone Nano announcment... :D

iPhone updates will be ITS OWN event that Apple will now start doing - probably at the same time MS or RIM or Google tries to have announcment regarding their Touchscreen Phone platforms...

It seems that Apple is having separate events for its produc lines:

Macs
iPods/iPhone
Notebooks
OS

WWDC is hosted by Apple.

Not a trade show. A developer's conference.

My point:

Apple is being more "strategic" with its product announcements. Like at WWDC, the iPhone release overshadowed everything else...

Apple is going to have its own announcements from here on out, and I won't be suprised if they upgrade the iPhone to 32Gig the same time that Google or RIM announces their next generation of phones...

If it means a 16GB for $199 and the 32GB for $299 I'll like this, otherwise I't doesn't matter much to me.

And I suppose then only the 32GB will come in white.

I think it's more probable that they'll do it this way, rather then have 3 different iPhones.

Despite the rampant speculation on MR of the impending release of a 32GB iPhone at MacWorld, I just don't believe it. Apple has no reason to release one at this time other than just to do it. And I'm sorry, pointing to the first gen 16GB model last year as proof of a 32GB coming this year holds no water with me. Apple is doing just fine with the current line-up of iPhones and has been steadily and successfully expanding into new markets as is. To me, it makes much more sense for them to continue with the current lineup and release a 32GB model with the next new rev of the iPhone.

Apple prepping a 32GB iPhone update, bringing back at-home activation?
by Nilay Patel, posted Sep 20th 2008 at 6:10PM

We're not particularly inclined to believe them, but the whispers that Apple is about to bump the top-end iPhone capacity to 32GB are getting harder to ignore -- especially since 8GB inventory is drying up, leading to speculation that's it's going to be dropped as soon as next week. We think the timing's a little odd on the heels of the Let's Rock iPod refresh, but considering the rampant speculation that Apple was forced to bump the nano to 16GB and drop the "limited edition" 4GB model entirely at the last minute in response to the new Zune lineup we suppose it makes competitive sense. AppleInsider also says customers will once again get the option to activate in-home, but we haven't heard anything about that -- we'll see what happens in the next few days.

[Thanks, Harry]

My bberry pearl is on its last leg and I am going to buy the iphone after macworld. I will be pretty pissed if I wait until then and only see the iphone nano released, with no memory upgrade to the 3g.
