I have lost the link, but the widescreen, wide click wheel iPod is a mock up done by some guy on a 3D site, apparently he does one every year.

I think I originally saw it on www.i4u.com but not too sure.

Anyone notice how quiet ThinkSecret is?

And the rumor roundup today more or less repeated what's been reported everywhere else. Apple has done a good job keeping wraps on whatever is coming tomorrow. There are no pictures of banners inside the Moscone, no ad copy mockups, only one little apple.com leak (iWeb), and not much info from the manufacturing sources outside of the Intel developments.

Apple has not come out and made any statements in recent weeks to tone down Wall Street's expectations, so maybe there is a blockbuster announcement in store after all.

If Apple didn't have a Mactel iBook, PowerBook, Mac mini or iMac ready to hit the street tomorrow on sometime in the next month, I think Apple would have been out there talking about how the transitition to Intel is right on schedule for summer, we're working hard on it, etc. iLife '06 and a new shuffle are pretty much a given. Beyond that, only a select few know for sure.

Does anyone know if any TV or radio stations will carry the keynote in the morning? I remember that several years ago TechTV carried one of the addresses live. It was the year when Apple first released iMovie. Just wondering if any stations still do.

The silence definitely is disconcerting. Who knows, maybe nothing will get released at MWSF. Or rather, yet another iPod. Best to go in with low expectations.

A new logo for Apple for the dual core chips? Think Different to Think Twice?

Rumors have proliferated so much throughout the computer industry there is nothing Jobs can do to really wow people.

*Steve walks on stage* So you know that whole x86 transition thing?
Fooled ya! Actually we are going to ARM for our next CPU.

There have been stories on BBC News just about the rumors ffs, so I guess Apple whatever Apple is going to release is going to be a big deal, because they are obviously building hype with this.

If the new Mac mini is really unveiled tomorrow, what's the chance that it will be released tomorrow as well?

Oooh! Version Tracker has just posted a link to an update for Art Director's Toolkit, the App that comes free with the Pro Macs.

It's been updated and is now a Universal Binary.

This can only mean one thing....

New Powerbooks Tomorrow!!!!

:D

If only. I think I'd actually cry with happiness!

Then they'll be able to charge an ARM and a leg for them. :p Thank you thank you folks, I'll be here all week. ;)

Mac Mini Refurbs delayed

Yuck, I ordered a Refurb Mini last Monday, and shipping has been delayed until the 11th. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a price drop when the Intel Minis come out :)

The irritating thing is that the store stated a 1-2 day ship time when I bought it.

A lot of Apple stuff is being delayed.
Due to expected spike in Intel Mac sales coming up.

imho :)

Its pure speculation I'm afraid - the folks in the shops know as much as we do until the Man in a Black roll-neck takes the stage.....
While I fully agree with this, I think the day before the current PowerMacs & Books were announced the new models appeared on our systems at work. There was no information present, just model numbers and prices.

I remember thinking at the time, "Apple will upgrade tomorrow and we're going to lumber ourselves with some BTOs to sell to customers", (as they didn't fit in with the prices of the older models and the new ones weren't announced yet). It later transpired that they were the new models announced.

I say I think because I might be a little confused and it was the morning after the launch, (so within 14 hours of the Keynote), but I am certain I didn't conclusively know of the models and/or their prices, so it must have been the day before. Needless to say, first thing this morning I was checking the system for new Desktops/Portables listed.

*Drools.*

I like that sign, although it probably signifies absolutely nothing.

I'd never dream of ordering anything from Apple this close to a Keynote, especially if they are only quoting a couple of days for shipping. You never know if the prices will come down slightly, even if nothing else.

See anything? ;)

I would say good chance... but if not it would be available with in a month at most (based on past trends and ignoring CPU supply issues hit with IBM / Motorola in the past).

i know nothing is a certain....

but....

a few days ago at CES every tom, d1ck and harry just announced their CORE DUO laptops. they weren't vaporware. they were real. so, why one earth are people doubting that Apple will do the same...?

i fully expect them to. i also think that Apple will actually ship them immediately. being the first to ship will make up for not being the first (by a long way) to announce Core Duo laptops.

I agree with that..

That could have been one of the stipulations Jobs made with Intel.
