"
@18:57
full screen view is a new feature"

Haha, seriously? Bean, a slightly upgraded version of Text Edit has that. Man, I'm so sold!!

Yeah. They're really dragging out this software segment... we don't need to see EVERY new feature in the Keynote. Lets see some hardware!

I tuned in hoping for some new hardware and it's all upgrades for software I either rarely or never use now.

Gimme at least a new mouse or something. My girlfriend bought me an Apple gift card for Christmas and I'm ready to take it off the refrigerator and use it.

I can't think all the online stores are down because iLife and iWork are coming out late January. Making an assumption there. iLife is due for late January but they're still talking about iWork.

Don't worry Macrumors, noone noticed the hacking on the live feed because everyone was asleep by then!

If you've got shares in apple, SELL THEM NOW!

Engadget's feed might as well have been hacked. They've given up on posting anything it seems.

I know they don't really strive to the level of "journalism", but are they really not even going to bother blogging any more? Yeesh...

And that completes iWork '09," says Phil. It's $79, $99 for family pack, when you purchase a new Mac it's only $49, starts shipping today

"Leopard is needed for the new iLife, we've got a new product called the Mac Box Set, Leopard, iLife, and iWork for $169."

I feel bad for the guys who went out there at 5 am and have been planning and working on this for weeks just to have 4chan (particularly that g thread) mess it up. This is the last Macworld Apple is attending and I know MacRumors is doing its best to cover it... :|

Ditto. MacRumors has worked hard over the years and usually provides the best coverage IMHO.

I'm in Perth Western Australia. It's 3:00AM here. Damned hackers. And who says the directory was left that way. Maybe another back door was used to open up everything else? Could even be a hole at a hosting company.

iWorks and Mac Box Set

"So that's iWork. $79 for single user, $99 for the family pack, and $49 with a new Mac. It starts shipping today."

It'd be cool if Phil says "One More Thing....." and says "I've been demoing all this on the new MacPro running Snow Leopard." ;)

Everyone condemning the hackers, while I don't condone their actions, look deeply and ask yourself, had this happened to a Windows event, would you be calling for the same actions, or would you be laughing?

Yes, it sucks that the feed got hacked, but there was a huge security oversight that allowed it. Mistakes happen, things get F'd up. Somewhere the non-mac fans are laughing at us just like we'd do if it happened to them. Let the mods and admins deal with the punishments and repercussions.

Were you able to browse the iTunes store from an iPhone on 3G before today? I didn't think so, and I can browse it now. I'm at work and without headphones otherwise I'd see if I can preview and download something

good spot - and good news!

"The new iLife NEEDS Mac OS X Leopard, and if you want to upgrade to iLife, iWork and Leopard together, you can get a Mac Box Set for $169. It ships in late January when iLife ships."

wow, cool. good price!

Awesome.
I'm loving the box idea.

Bah... make it work with powerpoint, i'll be impressed.

Keynote > Powerpoint. I've known people who's switched to the Mac because Powerpoint sucks so hard. I tend to ignore most of iWork but give presentations, not only is Keynote infinitely better than Powerpoint, it saves time, and time is money.

Yeah. I so wanted to iWork to work for me when numbers came out. Unfortunately it wasn't even close to work in the longer run, so I dumped it.

A recap:
Here is iLife: It's great, and we have an inbuilt revenue stream. Even iPhoto is now tied firmly into iTunes.

Our second bet is that our new iWork with some new gimmicks will sell it to you lemmings, and of course we have an inbuilt revenue stream with iTunes involved (just wait and see).

Living up to your screen name I see.
