For me its just a mouse. The gestures have always worked for me out of the box, but my wife hates it. She can never right click...dunno. To each his own.

I like my magic mouse on my iMac, but not as much as I love my multi-touch trackpad on my MacBook Pro 
The trackpad feels so natural, and after using it for one and a half years it feels like an extension of your hand
The magic mouse it great too, I love all the multitouch stuff and use it regularly, but it doesn't beat the trackpad. I'm going to get a magic trackpad for my iMac when I buy Lion.
