I've been using the trackpad since I got my iMac and will never go back to a mouse.

Trackpad. Magic mouse is NOT comfortable for long periods of use.

I think you should add a for me on the end of that last sentence. ;)

I've got large hands yet have been using my Magic Mouse hours a day for the past 2 years with no complaints of discomfort whatsoever.

That said, the OP (or anyone else interested) should give it a try and see how they like it themselves because clearly there are differing opinions on the matter.

I don't own a trackpad but i wish i did.
I like the magic mouse, but I think the trackpad would be way more comfortable.

When I'm on an iMac I tend to want to be a distance from the screen, and it would be way nicer to have a pad right next to my keyboard to use closer to me and in a little area, rather than reaching out my arm and dragging it everywhere.

How do you guys actually use the trackpad? Just got it the other day, and I find my wrist at odd angles and my fingers always suspended in air unless I'm scrolling. maybe it's because I'm using muscles in my hand that I don't normally use with a mouse, but it seems like I'm experiencing more strain than when I use a mouse. Any thoughts?
