when in your expose options where you select which buttons, you click on the drop down menu to select which buttons on the mouse do which, but then instead of selecting the options. you hold down the 'command key' or 'shift' or etc. that will add the options to the drop down menu. now that they are there as the combination keys you can select them.

at least this is how it worked with the mighty mouse

It should look like this:

interesting. This is a huge thing for me too.

But to address some of the other comments as I use my mighty.

I don't really hold the mouse as I use the scroll. My hand kind of rests over the mouse with my pinky and thumb on the sides (not squeezing, just holding my hand in a hovering position.) I can swipe this mouse fine without touching it at all and it stays still. If the magic is heavier, it'll probably stay in position even better unless the surface is more sticky or the bottom more slippery. I tried the same with my phone and it slid. I can see that if that's the case, the magic will make my wrist sore. (but my wrist is pretty strong on the right side ;) )

Actually, the app to make your phone a touch mouse is awesome... Who needs a trackpad when you've got a touch or phone.

I can't imagine that more gestures wouldn't be added. On that day, I'll buy it... Plus, the mighty still works mighty fine.

Magic mouse or Magimmick mouse?

I had tried Magic mouse today in Apple store.
It is really sucks!

The mouse surface is plastic-liked material which make it not smooth to do the multitouch. This difficulty is obvious when using slight damp/sticky/oily finger. The feeling of the multitouch is not comparable to iphone touch or even MBP's multitouch pad.

Ordered my 27 inch, but will still stick with my MX1100 or even wireless mighthy mouse!

You touch demo equipment in Apple stores with spit/dirt/oil/who-knows-what-other-moisture on your fingers? That's pretty gross!

I don't like it

I'm bumping this topic because I found it via Google when searching "able to squeeze magic mouse"

Anyways, I have it and I don't like it for several reasons:

1) You still cannot squeeze it and this is huge for me. I am a power user and constantly have between 6 and 10 windows open at a time when I am working

2) It is too low of a profile

3) It's very loud when you move it around, much louder than the mighty mouse, and quite annoying!

4) I find it difficult to hold onto without accidentally dropping it or letting it go.

My overall review... 1/5 stars. It was a great idea, but a total FAIL on Apple's part, and as a business owner, we have our own business account and own A LOT of Apple products!

You can download software that I found called 'MiddleClick' for a 3 finger tap. I use this for Expose. Works very well.

You can also download MagicPrefs from the Apple download page. You can customize the Magic Mouse to do anything you want. Good luck!

Hmmmm. Tried it but when I set the three finger tap to Expose it lags. Is anyone else seeing this? When I use the pinch option, that only works once out of five times.

In preferences you can set the touch sensitivity to extreme or relaxed. Try changing the settings a few times in this and see if that helps.

How do I delete this MagicPrefs anyway? It really screwed up my Logitech Mouse and I'm not happy with with the way it works with the Magic Mouse. I liked the Magic Mouse before I installed this. Now, I'm not sure.

Oh man, I'm sorry it's not working for you. Just go into your application folder, find MagicPrefs and remove it. It works fine for me. It stinks that it's screwing up your stuff.

No problem. Maybe it was conflicting with MiddleClick as well. I'll try and remove both and then try it again. Shouldn't be much of a problem. ;)

BetterTouchTool is the way to go. Simply great, makes your MagicMouse do whatever you want with a lot of settings!

From your link this program sounds promising. I am going to give it a shot and see which one I like. Thanks for the link!

Dont thank me, thank Shawnstra. Anyway, a real great tool together with the Magic Mouse. You'll like it.

Magic Prefs

I did not read it all but i can not believe no one mentioned this sooner.
There is a downloaded software for the magic mouse called magic prefs.

I use it all the time and i love it. It lets you do the expose and dashboard just like on a macbook pro when you want to slide your fingers up to get to the dashboard or down to get expose. This software does the same thing only with 2 fingers as apposed to all 4.

The whole reason i got this software is because i wanted to do the exact same thing as you and here is how to do it.

Try it and i guarantee you will love it.
I think the download is on TUAW
or go to google and type in magic prefs and you will find it.
