Got the Magic mouse and Magic trackpad with my IMac and just the Magic mouse with my new 13" MBP. Love the mouse, use the scroll feature more than the other features. Works great for me.

Use mine daily, love it! Probably would have picked up the magic trackpad if it were available at that time instead, but oh well, i suppose one trackpad on my mbp is enough :p

I'd never spend my money on such a device when there's one out there that clearly outperforms it. Thats like buying a C2D when you have an i7 right by it for the same price!

I mean seriously!

Trackpad - 69.99
Magic mouse - 69.99

Why on earth pick the mouse over the trackpad?!?!?!

I bought my magic mouse before the magic trackpad existed. Thats my excuse. TBH I can honestly see myself getting rid of the magic mouse, once I come up with the money for the trackpad.

Love the magic mouse. Very comfy to use (I have small-medium hands) and great for gestures (most used: scrolling and going back/forward in safari.)

Just downloaded BetterTouchTool and am loving my Magic Mouse even more. Tap to left click, tap to right click, two finger tap for dashboard, two finger swipe for expose. Brings back all the features I loved about the Mighty Mouse, which I still currently use with my mini. Two of the best mice I've ever used. Also enjoying the Lionized reverse scrolling. By the time it launches, my mind/fingers will have converted over to reverse scrolling nicely. :p

I got the magic mouse with my MBP because I'm more comfortable with a mouse than a trackpad. As far as gestures go scrolling in Safari is the main one.

I find the magic mouse very useful. The flatter profile took a little getting used to but now it's my favorite mouse.

I had the trackpad, and returned it in a week. I hated it. It hurt my wrist no matter where on my desk I placed it. I much prefer my Magic Mouse.

And I, too, use BTT with it. The MM is practically crippled without BTT.

Just because it's the perfect solution for you doesn't mean that it's the perfect solution for everyone.

Bought one, used it for a couple of months then learned of better mice (i.e. Razer RAT 7 etc). Bought one and now I would never go back.

i have a magic mouse and a trackpad (one for work one for home), the mouse is pretty cool but its confusing going back and forth b/c the gestures on the mouse are different. i would recommend the trackpad over the mouse.

also, the magic mouse has some of the worst feet/skates i've ever used, i have two different gaming mouse pads and a wooden desk and it scrapes against them. my old mouse (g500) glided so well. i'm tempted to buy some new feet but i may end up just buying a second trackpad.

I getting MBP 13 soon
So I was thinking to get a Magic Mouse
I currently using razer mouse but I feel like to try out Magic Mouse too!
I strongly believe that it can enhance browsing experience :p
Anyway, about the trackpad at same price
maybe Portability?

I em gonna get one next month =D together with my MBP 13!

I like the magic mouse, but it is too small for my hands. It bothers me after three hours of use. I love two finger scrolling and honestly, that is why I continue to use it. I did not buy a trackpad, but I used one in the store for a few minutes and it bothered me. Like someone stated, it hurt my wrist and I like to touch the pad, not click it.

Regardless, the magic mouse and the trackpad are great products and I cannot wait until the next generation arrive in the store.

Do you use the gestures? or just for its appearance?

Lastly, do you find it useful?

This is the best product I have ever bought. I love this thing to death. I don't use gestures (not that I'm aware of) mainly just use it for scrolling and the capabilities of having a mouse & right click. That's all I really need it for and it's amazing! Bought it with my new 2011 MBP and seriously life is good.

I bought one last year to use with my Mac Pro. Reason for purchase was because I love the trackpad on my macbook. While the magic mouse functioned just fine, it was never comfortable in my hand. I returned it and got a Logitech Performance Mouse MX. And I love the Logitech.

i own both an magic trackpad and magic mouse.

both take time to use at best.

I do recommend an trackpad for daily tasks. Unless you are using programs wich use dragging and such alot. (like final cut/after effects)

I find the magic mouse to be more suitable when video editing and such.

but for main control inside OSX and webbrowsers and nearly any other application id go for the magic trackpad, its awesome :)

One of my favorite mice to date; a previous poster was right in saying that it works a lot better in drag and drop situations, and that's what I bought it for. As for being too flat, I almost feel as though having my hand cupped over something for 8 hours a day would be as bad as an old Xbox controller. It's almost if the thickness and weight make it easier to casually use, yet it's function lets me powerhouse through projects. 9/10 in my book!

There's nothing magic about it. Just the usual Hype.

The MBP has a terrific point & gesture device...use it :)

Agreed but I originally bought mine for my Mini, however now that I am getting rid of the Mini, I have no use for the mouse, as the MBP Trackpad is the best on the market, however when I play games like COD, I use a Logitech mouse for button control.

I use it quite extensively, just because I find it easier to do things like go forward or back on webpages using a minor two finger swype of the mouse than using a more dramatic three finger swype on the trackpad. The scrolling and battery life also make it a fantastic device.

I also don't like how fast the batteries drain and that sometimes it takes a while to get it to reconnect after changing the batteries.
My Mighty Mouse is a Mighty Battery Drainer too. I had to start buying AAs in bulk.

The only other problem I have is that I can't get two-finger swiping to work reliably in cover flow. I can't tell why.

But I definitely like using its inertia scrolling.

This is my only problem with it as well.
I like the scrolling and the design, and it is my favorite mouse that i own.
Has anyone bought the Apple battery charger?

The Apple battery charger is just a rebranded Sanyo Eneloop batteries which are much cheaper than the Apple branded ones.
