I have the MM and the trackpad and never got into the trackpad. I just love the traditional mouse plus the one-finger scrolling on top.

As for the batteries, why buy in bulk when you can buy a pack of Eneloops and a charger for $20? Two for the mouse, two to keep charged.

One came with my iMac but I never use it. I much prefer my mx518 instead, something I can actually grip with my palm for easy movements.

Good idea! In fact it's less than $17 at Amazon.

I own and use the MAGIC MOUSE.

Do they make a wired version? ( hate the battery changing )

I also bought a TRACK PAD and use that from time to time, but not as much as the MAGIC MOUSE.

If Apple would design a DESKTOP KEYBOARD with a built-in TRACKPAD I would be all over that!

Don't like how you are supposed to swipe on the mouse for some gestures, but there is no friction underneath to support the swipe (i.e. when you swipe, the whole mouse moves).

neat idea, but doesn't work ergonomically.

I prefer the magic trackpad, except the hard-clicking on that needs to be a little more precise.

I love the Magic Mouse. I bought the mouse a few days after buying the MacBook. I was undecided between the trackpad or the mouse and went with the mouse after playing with both the trackpad and mouse in the Apple store.

The trackpad on the laptop does everything the trackpad did so I got the mouse.

The Magic Mouse has an amazing design, and I like the scrolling feeling...that's pretty much all I use. I use it like a basic mouse, but love that there's no scroll wheel - just a touch surface.

I wonder what the next mouse will be like.

When I first got it I was surprised at how small and well designed it was,Also thought the gestures were cool but never found myself using them but I use then all the time now
