I love the Field Case and am eagerly anticipating this one.

I have a Magpul field case for my 5s and I'm not a fan of the sand paper texture at all. It feels very rough on the skin. Hope this one is soft.

I love the fit and look but the finish leaves something to be desired.

To each is own I guess. I love the feel of the case. If anything, the design could use a bit of tweaking since it's getting a bit outdated in my eyes. But then again I've been using their pmags for years so that's prolly why I'm tired of it.

I agree they could change the design a bit. I don't shoot so i've never used a pmag.

The Magpul Bump Case for iPhone 5 features semi-rigid construction to allow snag-free removal from pockets. The two-material construction combines a hard protective shell with an inner shock absorbing layer, low profile PMAG-style side ribs for added grip, and single-piece snap-on design for easy installation and removal. The Bump Case has the benefits of a hard polymer shell and semi-rigid liner without adding unnecessary bulk or installation difficulty. Compatible with iPhone 5/5s models.

I just preordered A FDE Bump from one of (the many) Magpul dealers. No idea when it will come in or ship. I just wanted to stop searching and order.

I was this close

to getting the orange because it looks so good.

I can't wait to try it. I don't like the field case so I'm hoping the problems will be resolved in this new case.

Magpul Bump case now available for iPhone 5/5s!

FYI for everyone who was waiting for the bump case from magpul they are available or on their sites. They have limited color options available now but I ordered an od green and black case. The retail on magpuls site for 26.96.

Give us a review when you get it!

Please let us know if the bottom rubber sags and if the buttons are feedback-y

No problem I haven't gotten any shipping info just the confirmation number says it ships within 1-2 days. I will definitely let you guys know how it is. Magpul makes super solid stuff i can't imagine anything sagging or having any issues but I will keep you guys posted.

What specific differences are there between the field case and the bump case?

The bump case is supposed to provide two layers of protection. Supposed to be more impact resistant. I can't say how much there is not one photo of the front of the bump case on the internet that I have found. It may just raise the lip a bit more on the front in addition to the two layers of protection.

Field case is similar to Speck Pixelskin HD with slightly firmer TPU material and better fit(5/5s).

Bump is supposed to be similar to the Speck CandyShell -- hard outside, soft inside.

Oh ok. Bummer cos I just ordered the field case last month and now this bump case is so tempting. But also noticed the big jump in price of the bump from the very attractive price of the field case. But thanks for explaining the differences... Appreciate it.

The field case leaves little to be desired so I shouldn't need to get the bump ... but Magpul does such nice things I'm dying to know how this one might be even better.

Ok so I have never ordered directly from magpul before but I have to admit I'm not having a great experience so far. Number one I got no shipping info on my order. Then when I ask ughhh where's my stuff it's been a week. I get an email days later from someone saying it's coming out today or tommorow maybe . So far not so good.

I order direct (or from reputable distributors) only to guarantee I'm not getting an ill-fitting knockoff or discounted factory seconds. Magpul does more business through their distributors so the delay for individual orders is something I accept.

If you're looking for the online retail experience you should order from a distributor in the future IMO.

What was I thinking if I wanted a good experience I should have never ordered directly from the manufacturer. I've done this PLENTY of time with great results so no I don't expect a delay.

I did't mean to suggest that you would have known this in advance.

Some manufacturers aren't as individual sales oriented as others and Magpul is one of them. If I tried to purchase hot dogs directly from Oscar Meyer instead of the supermarket I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't as timely as a retail sale.
