At first, seems stiff to press but you get used to it eventually and it feels fine. the buttons are gripped feels nice imo.

Got mine today. This thing is sweet! My only complaint though is that the camera cutout doesn't exactly follow the lines of the camera/flash. The shape is right but seems a little mis placed on the case. It doesn't cover any parts of anything but like I said, just a little bit off.

Just got home & mine was waiting in the mail slot. Thanks Nick! I also agree the shape is funny I think these are the old ones w/the flash issue. Anyone know? I swore that Nick stated that we would be getting the new/corrected versions out that was the reason for the hold-up. Can anyone confirm?

Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But the Marines don't have that problem. To those who understand no explanation is necessary - To those who "don't" no explanation is possible.

Ok just found this thread https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1102162/ New vs. Old, some really nice colors the case really looks good. But the one I received is the old one.

Coolness!

Mine arrived today...via this tread.

Very nice case. Nice and slim. Has some texture and a pretty nice amount of grip.

This just may replace my Speck Pixelskin HD...which to date is my hands down favorite.

Will give it a whirl.

Thank you very much for the free case!

Steve

Got my orange one, and unfortunately, it washes out the flash with an orange-y glow. Other than that, it's a pretty nice case.

Your cutout is not the same as the one posted above?

You can see what I mean about the off centered camera cutout fromthe pics above.

First of all, want to say THANKS to Nick from Magpul for offering us these cases to review for their great company.

So far, this case has been one of the best cases out there for the iPhone 4. It offers good protection without taking any of the great physiques of the phone away. Feels great in the hands and does not stick in the pockets. The integrated buttons are a nice looking addition compared to most cases out there but only downside is that they take some getting used to because they are slightly on the stiffer side. No biggie for me though. The design of the case is very sleek and makes the phone resemble a military accessory which I really like. I think it is a real great case and on top of that, the msrp is ridiculously low for an iPhone 4 case which shows that Magpul cares about their customers.

Just to wrap this up real quick, great case for the price and top notch quality that I can't really complain about. On the plus side as well, made in the U.S.A. which I really am for since I strongly support our country's products. THANKS AGAIN MAGPUL AND NICK for this terrific product.

Got mine in the mail today. The design is outstanding; classy while doing it's job well. However, the material is extremely stiff and as a result, the buttons do require quite a bit of effort to press relative to the Speck Pixelskin. Other than that though, it really is quite a nice case for all those looking for an alternative to the Speck Pixelskins.

On a side note, pretty happy to have gotten this case for free but sad that Nick didn't get back on the other colors that I wanted to purchase! :(

Received my case today. Thanks, first and foremost, to Nick for hooking every one up here...well...most people anyways :p

Must say I'm really digging this case A LOT. Has a great feel to it, not tacky but not too smooth, and it's not bulky at all. Lay-on-the-table design could be a little better but nothing too bad. Buttons work really nice and have a nice feel to them. Really like the volume rocker switches. I see what some people are talking about with the slightly off center camera cut out. I don't think mine is that bad honestly and since it doesn't affect the camera itself, don't really care. Mine had one tiny little blemish but not really caring about that either.

Overall, really like this case a lot. Thanks again Nick :D

I would like to add my thanks to Nick for making the case free to MR readers. I received mine today and had to cut quite a bit around the mute switch hole to enlarge it to get the case to fit a Verizon iPhone. I don't have a sharp knife, so my handiwork left a lot of be desired. But, functionally, it works fine. I still prefer a naked phone with the Ikonic Edge leather pouch. And, without shelling out the big bucks for the upcoming LifeProof case, the Magpul case does offer some protection and good looks.

Yes, the cutout is a little too low. But, as you said, no obstruction. So, no problem.

Ok guys, cases are on order for everyone who sent me emails or PMs. I have seen the revised iPhone 4 cases, but I think production may be waiting on packaging to arrive...should be soon, though. I can't wait to see the photos and reviews as soon as your cases start showing up!

Got my case in the mail today. The new camera cutout definitely helps with the flash. Excellent craftmanship. Big up to Nick for the free cases.

Looks like Magpull is sending you guys the defects or seconds for free. If that's the way a paying customer's camera cutout is I would send that crap back. Anyone order one from them for real money and have the crooked new and improved camera cutout?? Maybe they just took an exacto to the old design and shipped them out for free?? Gets rid of the old stock and get some free advertising praises from the sheep.

I got one of the free cases with the new cutout. There was probably some confusion or something with certain people receiving the old cases instead of the new redesigned ones. I'm not complaining. The case is very good quality and being free makes it even better.
