Love the look of this case but am reluctant. Had one for my 4 and it was all kinds of out of shape after a month, plus the strange oily residue the case got really put me off.

Does this stuff the same issues?

Kinda. I didn't like the chunk out of the side that is in all of them. They said its from the mold and can't be helped. Pwttttt.

have you guys tried the Diztronic TPU? That's what I've been using.

I'm really considering an orange Magpul for my black iPhone 5.

How do these sit on the phone, specifically on the front? Is there a solid lay on the table lip?

IMO no there is a slight lay on the table but slightly it barely covers the bezel. For a thing case like this with better coverage the inncipio frequency is better.hopefully the magpul bump provides better protection cause I really wanted to use a magpul case. Using an element rogue now with my 5s and couldn't be happier.

I am absolutely convinced that this case has to be the best non-proof case out there. It's slim, looks awesome as hell, has a sufficiently thick lip, fits perfectly with no sagging on the sides while still being insanely easy to take off. The ease of removal along with its incredible fit and solid feel was what sold me. The grip is insane as well, allowing me to one hand my phone with ease and confidence.

Given its thinness, it has decent drop protection as well. Don't worry that it won't be sufficient; I've dropped my phone from about 4 feet high before with a thinner case and it was just fine. Your phone doesn't need a chunky case to survive 3-5 foot drops which is the usual everyday drop height. The only risk is if your phone hits an uneven surface like a sharp rock or the edge of a sidewalk.

Couple questions please.
1. For people who had the revised version for at least 3 months, is there oil on the inside of your case? I still remember I was shocked to find liquid on the inside when I pulled the case off my 4.

2. For people who have the revised version (for the wider flash and camera cut out. Look at the post above mine), does it affect the flash photos of the 5s? Especially for non-black cases. Thanks.

Just pulled the trigger on a Magpul for the 5S.

More interested in their upcoming Bump case -- any idea when it's going to be released???

That Bump company is a failure. They're just trying to resell Chinese knockoffs for a higher price.

The Magpul is awesome!

When I bought my Magpul case when the 5s first came out, I telephoned Magpul and spoke to several of their product representatives. They stated that they had no plans to revise the case for the camera and flash situation on the 5s. They recommended that if I buy the case for the 5s I do so at my own risk. I went ahead and bought the black version of the case and have no problems with the flash on my case. The case is great; no oil or anything like that. I wish the hole for the lightning cable was bigger for third party cables to fit; but still happy with the case.

Received the Magpul and put it on my iPhone 5S.

The material is definitely firmer than what the Pixelskin HD is made of, which makes me think it'll have ever so slightly less drop protection. Volume buttons are a bit stiff, but I imagine that'll loosen up over time.

The fit is nice and snug, unlike reports I read on the Pixelskin HD -- note: my brother's fits perfectly. There is a bit of droop at the bottom edge of the case to expose the edge. Very slight, but there.

The overall feel is very solid. Magpul + 5S feel like one solid piece.

There is enough "lay on the table" design for a screen protector, although I can't speak for the thicker glass ones because I haven't used one of those.

The Magpul is an overall very good option, and the Amazon pricing is excellent in comparison to many other top-of-the-line cases.

Hey guys,
How can you tell weather it's the updated version for the 5s or not. I'm in Canada so I have to rely on Ebay to order one of these..

See post #234 above... it's not updated for the 5S but doesn't appear to present any flash problems.

I bought a gray Magpul for my 5S on eBay. $10.94 shipped.

Should get here today/tomorrow.

I'm hoping gray looks slick on the space gray. I love this case. Heard nothing but good reviews, mostly saying it's a very nice slim, but protective case. Right up my alley.

That piece at the bottom that exposes the bezel I see goes away after a few massages of the case because mine fits flawless.

I have had mine for about that long and there is no oil on the inside of mine at all, but I clean mine out every couple days as well.

When I purchased mine it had a sliver of exposed bezel on the top and bottom but after using it for awhile the material settled and now there is no exposed bezel at all.

Exactly it will eventually go away and turn out to be the perfect case! I always try to find another case but I always just stay sticking with the Magpul.

In case anyone was wondering..

The 3ft Monoprice lightning cable (Part #10375) fits perfectly with the Magpul MAG452 Field Case. You don't need to shove or anything to get it in there, there is no additional effort required vs. the OEM cable. Seems to fit fine.

However, the 6ft cable's connector (Part #10028) is slightly bigger (10.4mm vs 11mm per monoprice's website) and you can tell its slightly rubbing against the case when you plug it in. Nothing that causes me any alarm, but it requires just a tiny bit of effort to plug in.

Yeah, don't get it. Rubber is to hard, no very good tactile feedback. I returned mine.
