Personally I'm totally okay with the price. It seems nicely designed, it's minimalistic, I expect the build quality to be as satisfying as I am used to with most Apple products and I find it practical and convenient -- especially for taking it on the road with me.

Tons of 3rd party products are similarly priced but no as unique. But if people think it's too expensive that's totally okay, too and you know that nobody is forcing you to buy it, right?! I just don't get all the hate about the product or the pricing, respectively.
Same here. I love the minimalistic design. It’s true Apple in design and build quality. Although I’m primarily going to be using this as my bedside charger, I love the fact that I don’t have to carry my Apple Watch charging cable and a secondary power adapter anymore. Streamlining and making life simpler is what Apple does best and this duo charger definitely checks that box.

Instant day one purchase for me.

For $129 and slow 15W charging, they can shove it up their *******s. I don't have time to wait 3 hours before my smart battery case and pro max fully charge. It's probably good for those with lower battery capacity who charge their products overnight I guess.

which is most people...

I would really love a clean bedside charging setup like this. Single wire, charge phone and watch. MagSafe built in. But it just has this feeling that it’s more of a portable device made for travel. Wish it was something a bit sturdier / heavier.

Makes me wonder if it was designed as a travel charging solution, before the pandemic and travelling taking a big hit.

That’s exactly what it was meant for, travel. However, a little double sided tape and voilà! You have exactly what (I think) you’re looking for!

At this point, if this were convenient for ‘traveling’ why not just buy one of the numerous 65W-ish GAN chargers (that cost around $40) with 2-3 USB-C and A plugs and plug your two damn cords in. God you’d even be able to plug a third one in to charge your iPad or Macbook. Will charge faster, will be cheaper, will take the same amount of space as an Apple Charger plus this whole $129 contraption.

Am I the only one who falls asleep with my phone?

I'm jealous of people who can put their phone up for the night and forget about it. I need to watch videos and Youtube to pass out. I'm sure it's not healthy, but it is what it is.

Why didn’t they pick up the phone? I want to know if you can just lift the phone off the charger without the whole thing moving. Apple’s site doesn’t list the weight currently.
We saw in a verge video that the entire pad lifts up when removing the phone. The design is good for travel only.
Unless you want to double side tap the charing pad to your bedside table.

You are the reason Apple is squeezing their customer and won’t stop. We should’t buy when it’s a rip off
When you're able to successfully organize a global strike against Apple's prices, let me know and I'll participate. Until then, I'll continue to enjoy the quality of their products and how well they work with one another as at the end of the day, $129 is a drop in the bucket for something I'll enjoy using every day to charge my watch and iPhone.

I wouldn't let that stop you from purchasing it. It's still the cleanest, most discreet looking dual charger in the market, that doubles as a super portable charging solution. This will look great on the bedside :)

Cause everyone has it, for the environment. Don't be silly now, your draw is full with them ;)

People’s drawer full of USB-A bricks, not USB-C ones. The most you can get for  USB-A bricks are 5v at 2.4Amps that may or may not work with this Duo charger.

It may require USB-PD 3.0 to work properly, otherwise you might stuck with slower charging speed for both the phone and the watch.

I was super excited about the idea of this when it comes to traveling... until the price was dropped on us like a crappy Skrillex dub step song.
Hey! Don't diss the Skrillex! :p This is just a sh*tty product! I mean why an apple watch vs anything else qui-compatible? Like a wireless earphone (will they fit?) or some other wireless accessory.

That’s the joke :)
