Maybe move the internal magnets on the iPhone down a littleWhat would you have had them do? Release a worse camera on the 13 Pro so it fit a charger correctly?
If they didn’t sell a *charger* for $129 no one would be flaming them (deservedly) for this absurd and predictable fitment issue. What would you have had them do? Release a worse camera on the 13 Pro so it fit a charger correctly?
Spoken by somebody who clearly doesn’t Have one. What a joke of a product this is
No issuesWhat about the 13 Pro Max?
Agreed, mine stays in my lounge next to my HomePod mini. Used every night to put my daughter’s watch on there and her phone. It’s perfect for anytime we plan to travel or i travel with work. Pricey but certainly worth it for meAll these people crapping on MagSafe Duo. I absolutely love mine. Super convenient for travel, looks great at home, I never struggle finding the sweet spot to charge. And if I need a bit of a fast charge boost, I simply unplug the lightning from the back and plug it into my phone for extra speed.
To make cameras better, the optics need to get larger. Just is what it is. I do miss the flush look!
If you're talking about lenses that physically move in and out, it seems pretty unlikely since they are notorious for sucking in dust. And there's no dustier place than a pocket. But I like the idea!A camera bump is fine I suppose, but now we have a camera bump of thicker glass, then a turret, and the lens comes out of the turret. A three-level bump is obscene. I hope that eventually periscopes with zoom lenses can be possible to clean up the look.

Agree 100%. It’s still my fav iPhone accessory to date. I previously had a Nomad wireless charging pad and it was super annoying to deal with.Agreed, mine stays in my lounge next to my HomePod mini. That’s not what quality control means.Bought a leather case and MagSafe Duo for my pro 13 before I saw this thread. The fact that the phone will not sit flush on the charger pad is truly appalling quality control.
I did a test of charging speeds with and without the apple case on
With case on…
1st test - 30% charge. For one hour = 84% charge
2nd test - 30% charge. For one hour = 87%
Av 85.5%
Without case on…
1st test - 30% charge. For one hour = 86%
2nd test - 30 % charge. For one hour = 80%
Av 83%
So yeah seems even though it isn't perfect contact it doesn't slow down charing speed.
It still winds me up, but in a way there is one advantage in that the magnetic attraction isn't as strong, so its easier to take off dock.
And yeah you can't fast charge an Apple Watch 7 with the duo, so interested how this will pan out.
It's strange that Apple still has no reaction to this outrage.
Happens with all chargers. My car mount is now useless even without a case. The magsafe circle is way to close to the camera bump.
Earlier today, a report highlighted that an iPhone 13 Pro with a case doesn't lay fully flat on the MagSafe Duo charger, igniting concerns about possible compatibility issues. Even if the iPhone 13 Pro doesn’t lay fully flat on the charger, it will, however, still charge normally.

For better context, a video posted by MKBHD shows that an iPhone 13 Pro with a case is slightly elevated off of the MagSafe Duo Charger due to its more prominent camera bump. Despite the elevation, the iPhone 13 Pro will still charge as normal thanks to MagSafe, and the slight fit issue has no impact on charging performance or speed.
Apple lists the MagSafe Duo charger as compatible with all models of the iPhone 13 lineup, and customers that are worried that the iPhone 13 Pro won't be compatible with the charger should rest assured that it will be.
