I’ve noticed Apple have started using an image with the leather cases. Maybe to indicate they do mark due to the magnet? Or just to show you where they are?

It is to make people aware that the MagSafe will probably mark their case as shown in the picture. I think Apple has a couple of proprietary things under their sleeves for use with their cases. I tried several colored MagSafe cases and everything the display shows that it's connected to a MagSafe case AND displays the color of that case briefly on the display...I have a feeling it’s only so long before third parties come out with better MagSafe style cases and cheaper but better chargers. A firm contact was always going to mark a case like this.
Same here.Just did my first overnight charge with my MagSafe charger and the case is already showing a ring. Has been totally clean since launch day, but I haven’t used the MagSafe much till now.
My Cyprus green one does that as well. Has been since day one when I got the MagSafe charger with the case and my phone. It doesn’t look back and actually rubs awaySort of expected this but I can’t imagine how bad this will look in a few months

Does the mark fade?Just did my first overnight charge with my MagSafe charger and the case is already showing a ring. Has been totally clean since launch day, but I haven’t used the MagSafe much till now.
Does the mark fade?
Thanks. My problem (very much my problem) is that I'll start obsessing about it. I'd like to blame it on lockdown but....You wipe it off no issues
Had the ring show first night using the MagSafe duo
I think its more permanent with the leather cases though hence Apple's announcement
Yeah... no, mine is pretty permanent no matter how much I rub it. I bounce back and forth between the Apple Silicone case for my 12 mini, and the Otterbox Aneu. The plastic back of the Aneu doesnt leave any marks. The silicone case does. As far as I know, the warning from Apple only covers the Leather cases. I know I'm a couple months late to this forum, but I was making sure I wasn't the only one with the issue lol
