Not trying to downplay the effects of this issue, but Lr was designed to cull images including first round, using right arrow and P for picks. Could you explain the benefit of culling the first round in quick view? This has come at the worst time I have 2000 wedding photos to go through and I normally use quick view to delete the bad ones before putting the ones I need into lightroom, Apple has really messed me up

In this case you should update to 15.5.Haven’t tried 15.5 yet as I tend to skip dot-releases, I usually wait for the first dot-dot release (i.e. 15.5.1)
Thank you for the advice. Yet I prefer to wait. I don’t care much about the dark previews. I use the machine for work and I won’t risk running into 15.5 bugs that do affect my daily workflow. In this case you should update to 15.5.
