I have now updated to 15.5 but nothing changes. It's the same :-( Some images can be seen and some not! Still thinks that my Sony ARW. files are malware.

Same with my Canon CR3 files, MacOS Sequoia flags them as malware when sent to the Mac from my camera using FTP Server.

Whilst that works on a folder of images, when constantly transferring new images from the camera and opening each the script needs to run again and again for every new image arriving. It’s an extra step each time which soon adds up during a session. Apple need to address this.

The folder action should automatically run as soon as a new image is added to the folder.
I doubt Apple will address this particular issue.

15.4.1 broke the thumbnail display of my Nikon NEF files, but 15.5 has fixed that bug on both my Intel MBP and my M1 Studio machine, so now it's all good it seems.
Update: all's good with my Z7 NEF files, but it doesn't work on a NEF file I downloaded from more recent Nikon cameras, the Z6 lll and Z50 ll. The Z8 and Z9 are ok, but the more recent Nikon cameras seem to still be a problem, unfortunately.

This has come at the worst time I have 2000 wedding photos to go through and I normally use quick view to delete the bad ones before putting the ones I need into lightroom, Apple has really messed me up
Not trying to downplay the effects of this issue, but Lr was designed to cull images including first round, using right arrow and P for picks. Could you explain the benefit of culling the first round in quick view?

I even have the black preview issue with apple’s own appleRAW DNG files. Using M1 Max 16”, 15.4.1. Haven’t tried 15.5 yet as I tend to skip dot-releases, I usually wait for the first dot-dot release (i.e. 15.5.1)

In this case you should update to 15.5.
Thank you for the advice. Yet I prefer to wait. I don’t care much about the dark previews. I use the machine for work and I won’t risk running into 15.5 bugs that do affect my daily workflow.
