I put my email in the first post so if anyone is signing up PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE use me as a referral. Thank you!!

I've replied to all pm's. I've made another 42 dollars since posting this thread.

It's like any other form of income, you have to pay taxes on it. Why did that stop you from signing up?

Because he is a minor like me and when he asked his mom if he could sign up under her name she said "yes" but when she found out about the whole taxes thing it ended up with a no. :D

Yes, you have to fill out a w9 and pay taxes like any other job. They just dont withdrawl the taxes from your check like other jobs. You're responsible for doing so.

Ok firstly stupidly I signed up (with the referral though) only to forget that Im in the UK and under 18.

Does anyone know any great alternatives for this for members of Uk or infact Europe?

Im stuck at home all summer and am unable to get a summer job as I am spending the whole time at my parents house in France!

If I had something like this to do it would:

1. Stop my never ending boredom
2. Help me make a little money on the side!

Thanks!

i think I registered but it didn't let me enter any referrer's email, ideas?

Acearchie pm me with your first name and I will tell you if you show up on my list.

The referral thing is on the first page.

OK stupidly I have signed up and have done the simulator test etc...

But after reading the "how do i get paid" page I have realised that infact being located in the UK there is no way to get the money I have earnt!

Anyone see a way around this?

Thanks

I heard about ChaCha over summer and now that I have a mailing address (I'm all moved in, for college), I applied. I passed the initial tests (they're really easy) and have done the simulator test. I've heard from a lot of people who passed (on their forum and stuff) but also a lot of people who failed. So we'll see! I took the test yesterday afternoon so hopefully I'll get my results today or tomorrow. I already have a job that I'm committed to for a while but this extra money on the side would be nice.

To anyone who is still applying or going to take the simulator test: from what I've read, the most important thing is to make sure your answers are correct (obviously), use perfect spelling/punctuation/etc., and if you can, throw in something like "have a nice day!" at the end now and then. And don't use sites that are on their blacklist, which is basically sites with user-generated content like Wikipedia or Yahoo! Answers.

Yep ^^ he is right.

focus:
1) be correct!
2) no black listed sites, wiki/yahoo answers/ web forums
3) be as fast as possible without hurting your accuracy
4) add some personal flair ex. "have a great day!" or "Thank you for searching ChaCha"

I've been working for ChaCha for several months now. It's completely legit, fun, sometimes frustrating, and a good way to make some extra money, especially for those of us who are information geeks. :)

All in a day's work

:D

And the most asked question of them all: "How big is the average human penis?"

If someone were looking through my bookmarks, they'd have a very skewed view of my interests. :p
