What's wrong with you guys?? Does U.S. always has to get special treatment? Can someone explain to me why I should be treated worse than U.S. customer?

Probably because it's a U.S. company and the market is the biggest. That being said I've been to Poland 4 times and love it there. :)

Maybe it's part of the marketing to create interest? Something about this whole launch seems artificial and un Apple like. They really are seriously concerned about how this is going to be received by Joe and Jane consumer.

Apple have messed up.

"Early 2015"?

The September announcement was surely to allow a few months for hype to build but for me and a lot of people I've spoken to the "hype" has fizzled out, it's been too long.

And those reviews... Can't remember such a bleak set of reviews for a new Apple product.

But of course they're gonna sell millions and it won't matter for them. And of course I'm going to buy one still.

Sigh.

We're SO much cooler: fewer of us are bilingual; we have none of those old 400-800 year old buildings littering our cities; we use the term "football" more correctly; we drive much bigger cars and use much more of the world's petroleum products; I could go on, but you get the idea…

FWIW VW has an all-wheel-drive golf sportwagen that they've introduced in Europe but haven't brought into the US. I'm not happy with that choice either.

More seriously, I wonder if a given watch model will be easier to get by pre-ordering right after midnight or by buying while at an in-store reservation made right after midnight on the 10th? Which do you do first? Any ideas?

Because the size of the market where you are is much much smaller. Seems normal to look after your best markets first.

IMO, Apple is a US company and makes a boatload of money in the US, so why not give US customers first crack at it?

Okay so my launch plans..

I'm getting the Sport Black for me and my partner, he didn't know he was getting one, but chances are now he's gonna find out before i get it in hs hands :(

My plan:

Preorder two watches online, and reserve two in store (my name and his).

I have a feeling if you order early, you'll be in the batch that arrive first.

They had to do a few models before May or people would have really dogged apple for missing a "deadline" they set for themselves ("Early 2015").

I my book, and quite a few other business people's books, early 2015 ended March 31 so they are already late.

Frankly I'm surprised Apple even decided to bring it out before holiday season 2015.

Apple will continue to be late on their releases and no one will care.

I don't think there's anything to worry about. If you order on Friday when it goes up you'll probably get one by the 24th. I can't imagine them putting them up and giving them a release date just to delay most of them.

well... the US has a lot of "Polack jokes" so maybe something happened between the US and Poland? :(

I don't get why apple gimps devices and services in other countries

An awkward and borderline obtrusive purchasing experience, lukewarm reviews, and rumors of limited supply on launch. Hopefully this gets better.

Apple is a California based company in the United States, that's like asking why countries in OPEC get cheaper oil, Apple should service its own country before it branches out.

I couldn't imagine that scenario with an iPhone either.. and it still happens.

I'll be ordering one on Friday, stainless 42mm classic buckle, if it's not shipped by April 25th my order is getting cancelled and I'll just wait for Watch 2. Apple should probably get used to this kind of mentality with things like this.

Apple is doomed!

I wonder if they are going to be strict about the 15 minutes for the try-on appointment if the store is empty and there's only a tumbleweed waiting in line after you... :)

I have been waiting for a product to come along, so terrible that it brings Apple to its knees... and then at the last moment of desperation, Apple Computer rises from the ashes. Once again focused on making the world's best computers. But in all seriousness I don't think the Apple Watch is that product. And in any case it's too early to write it off until we see what third party app developers come up with.

Maybe it's the Apple Car I need to wait for?

Try again!

"The company said that 65% of its sales came from abroad, and that sales in China were “particularly impressive.”"

Does the metric system make you terrible at math? If 35% of a company's sales come from a single country and 65% is the entire rest of the world, one would still look at its best market to be 'Murica' are you saying another country was worth another 35% leaving the entire rest of the world with 30% I think not. So before you go accessing this mans clearly right point think, do the math, then comment.

Tim Cook says they treat every customer the same lol yeah Right! I'm still waiting for Apple Pay and iTunes Radio...

In all fairness, although Apple supply internationally, they are an american company and shouldnt forget their roots and U.S customers should come first and thats coming from a Limey.:)
