The likelihood is that they are gathering data but holding back on implementing the fixes so that they can do one big update and say "there, its fixed".

I made 50+ problem reports in central London - most of them 2-3 days after iOS 6 launch. So far not a single one was corrected
That includes stuff like non-existent railway line, shop that closed decade ago, shop that never existed, shops in incorrect places, and my company which is listed on a map despite having no retail presence at all (we are software house and probably listed because we have a "mobile" in our name; at least we are at incorrect location so that's a relief :D).

London is a big place. I've found the new maps to be pretty good in some areas, and the 3D thing is fun in central London, but in other areas, including the area in which I live, to be more or less useless when it comes to points-of-interest. I really like the traffic feature, though, and that does seem to be reliable.

Apple have still got UCLH (biggest hospital in central London) wrongly located to the opposite side of the road (which is actually UCL, the university campus).

I submit a correction for this every other day. It's still wrong.

Any Apple Maps improvements yet?

Has anyone seen any visible improvements or corrections appear in the iOS 6 Apple Maps data yet? Examples?

The street I live on is still spelled wrong, even after reporting it. But then again, it's spelled wrong on almost every internet map service, even Google Maps. It's even spelled wrong on my tomtom, which would explain why it's wrong in Apple Maps.

I think the only one its spelled correctly in is MapQuest.

I keep see more new POIs appear in my hometown but the new ones are just as wrong as the old ones. Not a single one is directly above the building it's supposed to represent.

Pathetic

Overall I'm pleased with the Maps App and use it every day to avoid traffic. However there are still pathetic issues. On day one of the maps being issued I reported that part of a local back street name was incorrect, and several POI's that were wildly incorrect; all still not fixed. How long is it going to take? Have I missed a refresh Button (sic).

In these days of crowd sourcing and Wiki technology this is unacceptable. I can’t help feeling that if Apple had issued the product without POI's they would have attracted a fraction of the criticism they have. Surely they could of have sorted out the POI's in my London suburb by now. After all it is a capital city. There must have been thousands of corrections notified for these particular glaring errors.

Don’t the Apple execs read these posts? Is there anyone at the wheel of Apple Maps?
