I hope you just forgot the [/sarcasm] tags ...

No. I think many like yourself were not understanding what Steve Job was doing 10 years ago. You thought it was strange and you were very scared. Is same thing with Mark Zuckerberg. But eventually you will understand and be writing on FacebookRumors. Ha. Maybe not but very close. Facebook will be in everything. Is good for information transfer and future. Time to move from past.

It's ok, when he applies for a new job with a big company and they don't even interview him after employing a 'service' to go through all of his Facebook history and postings, comments and photos, then he will learn :)

But this Mark guy is the next Steve Jobs so it' all fine.......

You can make things private. And I don't do silly things to be ashamed. You must. lol

(Aspergers guy, forgot to reply not just comment) So do I... Don't know what that has to do with stuttering though? What exactly do people think about aspergers ?????

Ok, i'll bite; are you taking any prescription medication?
Have you ever actually used Facebook? I mean, really used it, instead of just sending a few PMs to your carer? ;)

Oh dear, you really have no idea about Facebook and Mark do you? But you carry on 'believing' your data is secure mate. I couldn't care less as I don't use it. Just remember to keep setting those apparent security settings every time Mark changes them and makes them harder to find and understand.
And whilst you at it, don't forget to watch what you say on Twitter too....

A lot of people should be embarrassed by their comments here - a quote transcribed from an interview (with an off-the-cuff question, no less) is much different than even typing a response into an Internet forum.

But then again, I've come to expect nothing less from the MR community. At least Arn stopped the non-stop links to AppShopper that were a blatant violation of the App Store ToS.

Steve was too nice to have give this nitwit advice. It's noble and understandable, Steve wanted to continue the Silicon Valley tradition he thought he had inherited from the HP founders, whom he saw as mentors when he was young.

But even when Steve was young he spoken eloquently and passionately, Mark Z. needs to seriously consider taking some LSD to hopefully snap out of his embarrassing nervous character.

So true, Facebook is going to fall if they don't get their **** together. Even then they will never amount to anything other than Facebook.com

Let's put you on national television, ask a question off the cuff, and see what happens.

*gets popcorn*

Zuckerberg might be smart, but he sure doesn't know how to articulate. That was one of the most incoherent quotes I've ever re-read.

Yes. Television is not his medium (yet). He needs media coaching. It's not easy. It requires tons of practice. Steve Jobs was more of a natural, but he also practiced a lot.

One look at the cluttered, ad-infested, privacy-sapping Facebook, and it's obvious Zuckerberg had no idea what Steve was talking about and heeded NONE of his advice. lol

Who's the bimbo next to him in the pic and why is she there?

And might I add... *I* am the only person alive that doesn't have a Facebook page.

Steve likely did feel he was carrying on the sharing of wisdom tradition by advising young grasshopper a bit. Still, ya gotta wonder Steve's actual assessment of him. I'm thinking he was amused.

I hate reading his name and seeing his face so often as a tech interested user, I hate it even more when they mention his name in any topic related to Steve Jobs.

The difference being that only one of these guys gets everyone's permission to spread that info around.

Not passing any quick judgments but this graphic is insultingly oversimplified, and I don't see any reason to denigrate Mark Zuckerberg to make a point regarding Julian Assange.

After almost completing the bio it becomes terrifyingly clear how Apple was Jobs and vice versa.

I could not agree more. I've finished the book as well as several other articles that have been published. Now with a new take on the state of Apple, I'm concerned. Before I wasn't.

It's not like I believe they are going to go out of business, but having ones eggs all in one basket is not good. And this is essentially how it was at Apple under the guidance of Steve Jobs.

The concern I have is the potential of internal strife and high levels of discord, between the employees that are able to adapt to the new CEO's management style, and those who cannot or will not.

Hearing about the plans that Steve left behind, the pressure on Cook to deal with that, and the relevance of those "plans" when we are living in a time when everything changes at warp speed, well I just don't know.

Yep, as far as i can tell, they're haemorrhaging users as fast as myspace did toward the end... The whole idea/site has become bloated and old. No vision. No real direction. Mark is a one-trick pony. Good luck to him; he made some serious cash while it lasted, but i don't think we'll be hearing anything more from him after Facebook.com is gone.

Who's the guy on the left? Looks familiar.

She makes $280k to sit on the board of a coffee company, which probably amounts to a couple meetings or teleconferences a month. That's just one source of income. Geez.

It's all good man, the world's going to end on 11/11, and if God oversleeps, he'll take us out on 12/21.
