It's a bit early for april fools jokes.
Was just about to say something similar.I have multiple screenshots as evidence of Whats app mining chat messages and then displaying Facebook ads relevant only to conversations I have had in the Whats App chat. Things so obscure and unique to 'one-off' chat comments that the only way Facebook could consider displaying a recommendation for service is if Whats App was mining my data and sharing it with Facebook.
The only real option is to use Signal if you are concerned about privacy.
It became popular before Zuckerberg bought it out. It started out as something potentially good, but Zucky corrupted it.I've never been advertised to based on an imessage I sent. Can't say the same for whatsapp. Glad I deleted that scam, don't understand why it's so popular.
He’s probably right that the actual message being sent to the other party is end to end encrypted, but that doesn’t mean keywords aren’t scanned and sent to Facebook for ad purposes. I would suspect those are two different transmissions.I have multiple screenshots as evidence of Whats app mining chat messages and then displaying Facebook ads relevant only to conversations I have had in the Whats App chat. It’s, dare I say, disinformation.Anything he says, I disbelieve.
it’s not about being a fanboy. If someone with a reputation for being a bad person tells me something, I’m not going to believe it by default. Perhaps your dislike for Apple exceeds your dislike for Facebook but that’s your issue, not mine. I don’t think anyone here besides a few people like yourself will actually take anything Zuck says as anything other than misinformationBlind fanboys who consider everything coming from X as false or offensive
