I bet you gonna say the same thing when iPhone comes in bigger screen. How is iPhone 5 change is hardly noticed? It is bloodily longer you can easily tell iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S.

Its not very much bigger, lets be honest. I can also still EASILY use it one hand, 4.7+ no way that is possible. So yeah it has hardly changed the way I view the iPhone because I didn't have to change how I used it from iPhone 4 > 5.

And no, 5.5 inch phone can still fit in your pocket and 5.5 is no way gigantic phone. You know what is gigantic phone? Samsung Galaxy Mega.

5.5 is a gigantic phone, you know how many people I see trying to jam their galaxy phones in their pockets...

Why does everyone want a bigger screen? I want read webpages, read books, check out emails attachment (pdf, word documents) more easily without constantly zoom in and out. Once you go bigger screen, you just cannot handle the tiny ass iPhone screen.

I use my iPhone for stuff on the go, when I need to sit down and actually read a book, do my reading for the day on websites...pull out the iPad. The iPhone is not supposed to do everything, IMO its convenient to do these things when you have no time for a computer. Not to say I have't read long webpages or a book on my iPhone when I am out and about...do it all the time.

TBH, I will never switch back to iPhone if Apple stay with this tiny ass screen. I am happy with my Nexus 5 and will be buying larger phones. No bigger iPhone, no purchase for me.

TBH I will not buy another iPhone if I cannot get a smaller size. Also I find it surprisingly that apple will kill the millions of people that don't want a bigger phone for the small percentage that do. If you took a poll I guarantee that majority are fine with the current size and don't want bigger. They are catering to the minority doing this.

Wait, you only have 3 resolution max 4 on iPhone and 2 on iPad. This is not even close to amount of resolution developers have to deal with Android phones.

Yeah but its more than they had to ever deal with, and unless the Xcode makes it super easy to code for multiple resolutions you are pissing off the developer community.

----------

a 4 inch screen is not large enough for anything except phone calls and texts. its useless for browsing unless you just enjoy pinching and zooming all the time

Never had an issue...never once complained. I read books on my iPhone, never have a problem reading webpages. Pinching and zooming is oh so difficult. /s

If it's taking on a look and feel like the iPad air, it would be awesome not to mention the larger screen and (presumably) A9 processor. I don't know though, it would probably need to have 1 must-have feature for me to buy at this point.

I really hope it doesn't look like this. It should have the same look as the current iphone but just bigger and thinner.

Yeah, it’s a bit silly to suggest that a device is incapable of performing tasks outside of calls and messaging because of 7/10ths of an inch. I routinely handle all sorts of tasks from my iPhone: ordering from Amazon, email, G+ Hangouts, even tasks like managing EC2 server instances. I don’t find the experience shorted at all, in fact, the overall experience from my iOS devices is outstanding.

Truth is, even on a larger device - I frequently cross check code on a number of handsets - you’re still going to have plenty of scrolling, zooming on many web UIs. That extra 7/10” isn’t some magical nirvana of widely expanded usability, we’re still taking about - in the grand scheme of things - very small displays that are at best, mediocre-to-so-so for tasks like web browsing, video and gaming (when compared to larger tablets, notebooks and desktops with large displays) :)

I want 3,5 inch new iPhone

Apple, please release 3,5 inch phone. I am still on my 4s and do not want any bigger one - this one is perfect. Job's knew what he was doing.

Try going back to the 3.5" iPhone, and you will notice a huge difference. Considering that people wanted a bigger screen not a vertically stretched screen, even the extra row of icons the iPhone 5 had made a big difference. I assume the difference will be the same moving to 4.7" or 5.5" iPhones.

Also, by your logic that extra 7/10" won't sacrifice much in usability (using the iPhone 5 with one hand is a stretch anyways, such as reaching the top corners) and portability anyways. So, why give up the "slight" benefit of a bigger screen?

Agreed! The size they have now is perfect...not once since the original iPhone actually have I ever felt I needed a bigger screen. The iPhone 5 was a welcome addition because it barely made it bigger and hardly noticed. I don't wear big ass pants to fit a gigantic phone in my pocket.

Looks like I am staying on 5s forever if they go this route...so not interested in a phablet.

Why does everyone want a bigger iPhone? What do you do on your phone that the screen is not big enough?

i think it has to do with how the world is these days & how everyone is about their phone so they want it to do everything a full size computer does

& yes 5s is the perfect size

Larger screen with increased ppi: Yes please. Catch up :apple:

Why does PPI need to increase? Can you see the pixels?

Too many people worry about irrelevant on-paper specs that other manufacturers use to market product, all you'd gain from increased PPI on an iPhone is larger file sizes and slower operation.

I'm all for the 4.7 iPhone. Even those fake mockups look hot. Apple Design will probably come out with something crazy hot. Just take my money already. :)

Well, I might as well wait to upgrade now.... here is hoping my 4 holds out until September. The home button quit working a couple of weeks ago for about 8hours. That was strange.

I'd be happy with a 5s, but won't jump unless I have to at this point!

You know I do boy have single Samsung phone and I love my Nexus 5. It is time for Apple to release larger phone. I am not saying Apple needs to stop selling 4 inch iPhone, but larger iPhone is demand for lots people.

Seriously, if you hate larger phone that much, you should keep your iPhone 4s or shop around even smaller phone.

I do not get the logic of " i do not need one, so one one deserve getting one" plain stupid

As a business does it make sense to make an iPhone bigger just for the small amount of people that want it? I would say no.

I realize this is an artist's rendering. Perhaps the reason why it looks rather blah is that the devil is in the details. Brushed chamferred edges does wonders.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the overly rounded look.
We know the iPhone 6 will be larger. The question is, will it cost any less?

Doubtful given Apple's history. But recent findings during the lawsuit with Samsung, reveal Apple is aware of this 'problem'. Perhaps a lower discounted 5s is in store.

If it is only a month or two wait, I will wait for the 5.5" iPhone. I can not wait to get a large iPhone!!

blah blah blah blah its a different thing each week. theres 2 sizes, its going to be released early, its not going to be released. just wait for the keynote.

I for one cannot wait for the 5.5, having used a note 3 for a day I do think bigger is better. As long as apple don't overprice it they can take my money!!

The 5.5 could be a totally different device (gaming?). If not, it doesn't matter but Apple should push gaming towards the larger 5.5 iphone.
