Hi everyone,

I’ve been a long-time Mac and iOS fan, and this summer I decided to try something new — building my very first iOS app.

The result is Mathintosh: a calculator, tip calculator, and unit converter in one, with a bunch of retro and colorful themes.

I grew up loving the look and simplicity of vintage devices and utilities, so I set out to bring that charm back — but with modern features and polish.

It’s completely free to download, with no ads or data collection. All functionality included, the only in-app purchase is for a package of 16 themes.

Available now for iPhone and iPad: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mathintosh/id6746828132

I’d love to hear feedback from fellow Apple fans, especially on the design and usability. Thanks!

Interesting new idea Justin.
Thoughts I would throw at you would be:-
1. iCloud Support to all devices. This enables sync across your devices in case you need to look at a result from previous.
2. Watch support. Many times I need to do a quick calculation, so with an ability to have that calculation first made with the watch then with iCloud support I could pick it up later on either my phone/iPad.
3. History with a comments section. Here you can look at a previous result and if needed add comments to that result.
4. Tags. With a large collection of results, many with comments, it then becomes essential to separate the results into differing sections. I.e. Home could be green….. Family could be orange…. Vehicle could be blue…. Etc etc.

Wow, thanks so much Beards! These are really great ideas to consider.

I will add them all to my note for consideration in future releases. I was already considering a Watch app and the possibility of iCloud support for cross-device sync, but comments and tags on the history (or "paper tape" as I term it) would be really helpful and had not yet crossed my mind!

Any other ideas or feedback you can share, I am all for it! Hope you enjoy the app. I have a 1.0.1 bugfix release already in the pipeline with App Store review.
