Don't get why people are so genuinely invested in it.

Regardless, Pacquiao is not intimidating or that well-built (he looks like a normal guy, not a boxer) IMO yet I feel like he is the better fighter.

I think it's fun to get caught up in the hype from time to time, but I certainly won't be spending $100 to watch it.

(It's like the only time I watch horse racing is during the triple crown. It's fun, but, ultimately, not a big deal.)

i really hate how difficult it is to watch what is deemed the fight of the century. Two fighters who make it the fight of the century (and the biggest of all time) due to the money they will earn. It pushes honest boxing fans away as they need to spend $1000 minimum and a ridiculously hard to get ticket or sign up for a subscription service as well as a high price on a PPV event. If this was opened up to the world on free to air tv, it might actually live up to the hype and help fix a broken sport. Making it too expensive to watch does nothing to help it.

The world of media needs to wake up to itself and stop trying to milk fans who just want content that way they want it. Imagine of Ali v Foreman was aired like this? Not that Don king wouldn't have wanted it.

Please tell me that is a joke.

Arnold would be intimidating. There are guys at my local gym that are bigger than Pacquiao that I'd be more afraid of. Pacquiao is on the small side.

Watching solely because of it's relevance in sports history. This fight is years in the making... I have no dog in the fight, although I would like to see Pac win. "Money Mayweather" does nothing for me as a human being.

Watching hundred+ millionaires beat each other up is good entertainment for sure, but not worth making them even more rich to do so.

Pacquiao is a welterweight boxer. Schwarzenegger was a bodybuilder.

Your point is completely invalid and you obviously don't have the slightest clue.

I'll admit I don't, but I would still prefer for the biggest fight of the year to at least include 180+ pound boxers. Welterweight range is too low for what we should expect from a professional match IMO.

Terribly underwhelming. Money didnt do much, but did what he needed to do to win. Pacman just didnt adjust, and played into Money's gameplan.

There were no losers. They both just made obscene amounts of money for less than an hours work.

How about those who paid $100 (or thousands) to watch the fight?

To use John Oliver's words :

Boxing : why is it still a thing?

"I'd like to thank Hublot..."

Ugh.

I thought the post match interview with Manny was a little hostile.

I understand that it's fun to watch millionaires beat the hell out of each other but still, it's a little funny.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

Applies to everyone. Even Mayweather. He can't fight forever, and if he keeps spending money at his current rate, he'll be broke 5 years after retirement and crying "I don't know what happened, my spending just got out of control" on ESPN: Broke Athletes Part 7. Hell, the guy can't even read, I doubt he can manage his money.

Watched at a friend's house, not worth the money! They made a lot of money off of that sorry fight.
