I'm close I'm just trying to find insurance. Our home insurance agent seems not to cover damage I do. Any options you've heard of besides safe ware?

How much difference is 4 vs 8 gigs of ram? I'm assuming 16 is overkill.

How much difference is 512 mb vs 1 gig of Vram?

I do want discrete graphics unless you all are going to say the integrated is just about as good, which I assume its not.

I'm looking for any advice! Oh and I do want the 15" I think, but could do 13 if it came with dedicated graphics.

As for my intended use, I'm planning on being a computer engineer. Quite frankly I'm not sure what all that requires, but better to have too much power then not enough.

When you bought your (refurbished originally, wasn't it?) MBP what software did it come with? And if it wasn't refurbished does it come with refurbished too? Talking about ilife and i work

No refurb comes with iWork. Comes with the OS it originally shipped with.

Yeah I have a text coming! But I keep checking there too just in case the text doesn't send or something! Haha.

Also, since at WWDC iWork and iLife are going to be updated, if I buy the current version (09) would that be updated to the new one? Or is that considered a new suite and I would have to rebuy them?

iLife was not updated at WWDC. and we don't know if the new iWork will cost anything. But it is usually a 30 day trade in program.

Since I've been so hesitant and such a PITA about this, I wanted to let you know it's been ordered!

Got it! On it now! Preloaded with 10.8.3!

When I click about this mac it shows 2.7 GHz. That means they sent me the Febraury model right? I ordered the 2.6!

edit- actually it says mid 2012. But I thought 2.7 was the feb one?

They sent you the top of the line 2012 processor with 8MB cache. What temps under what uses?

Very cool!

And temperature monitor says mid 60s if I play minecraft for a bit and am watching a youtube video, but it feels VERY warm to the touch towards the screen, both on top and bottom.

Well... I have IR... I haven't run any tests. But I was browsing on safari and slept my mac, and woke it up a minute later and could see the right edge of safari as well as the search bar... what should I do?

I just checked and I have SJA1.
