Here are the pics. Tell me if I'm making a big deal out of it. All of my friends said I am.

i recently got my 12" pb screen replaced through apple care, and when i got it back, it had 1 stuck red pixel. i tried to get it replaced, but they said no. it's been 2 moths now, and i'm pretty much over it. i tried massaging it and doing the flashing thing, but neither worked. i'm typing on my pb now, and i'm pkay with the stuck pixel. it took a while, but i got over it.

Update

Just returned from my genius appointment and couldn't believe it! He looked at it for like 2 seconds and told me they'll check my MBP in and and that the replacement will take like 2 days. Can I say wow? I didn't even need to bitch to them lol. He said they will replace it because the dead pixel was kinda sort of in the middle. I guess I'm having good luck with those Tulsa geniuses so far. Let's just hope the new screen is perfect.

Cool! Congrats! =D

Just got it back. This one has a stuck red pixel, but it's not exactly obvious because it's sort of at the top coupe of inches from the left.
oh well...

Also I noticed there's a huge scratch on the lid. It wasn't there before.
Thank you Apple for screwing me again.

If I were you, I would call AppleCare and complain about the shoddy repairs. Tell them that the store replaced the screen twice and now you have another dead pixel as well as a deep scratch which you didn't have before. Tell them that "this is a customer satisfaction issue" and you are not happy at all and expected better service.

Will they charge me for calling Apple Care since I didn't buy it for my comp. yet?
Also what will they do about it?

They shouldn't if you are within the warranty period. And if you are within the 90 day period (from the purchase date) definitely not. Just tell them that your mac has been repaired twice and you are unhappy. They shouldn't charge you for the call.

It's still within the warranty period. But they wont do anything about it, right?

Sorry I forgot about your second question...

They may open another Case#, ship you a box and have you send it in for repair (all of this is prepaid - no cost to you) where they will replace the case due to the scratch and they may replace your display as well.

Can't really tell until you talk to them. If you don't get a good response, try calling again and speak to another rep stating "This is a customer satisfaction issue".

I'm gonna try and do that. Are their lines open right now, since it's Sunday?
I just hope they wont slap me with a bill for the phone call.

They are open 7 X 24 though you may not get a supervisor or someone with authority, especially since this is a holiday weekend and they probably will be running with a limited staff (your hold time may be long). But you can call and get a Case# assigned to start the ball rolling.

Ok I'll do that. 1-800-275-2273 is the number?

No you wont get charged for the call.
You can also call customer service and tell them how unhappy you are.

I would first go back to your apple store. Start by talking to the same genius that helped you last time. Then move up to store to manager if needed.
Tell them you do photographic work, and you can't use the macbook with the stuck red pixel. Plus the huge scratch that was received from the repair center. Now has reduced the value of your investment.

Wow both repairs produced flawed screens. I wonder if their replacement screens are all form newly returned mac books. Ones that were returned under the 14 day period for that exact same problem. Maybe apple is just hoping that people will be just satisfied, That their screens were replaced, and wont complain about any dead pixels.

I hate dead pixels :mad::(

I talked to the mac geniuses when I received by comp. back on Friday. All of them were saying how this is within spec and they told me to run those java scripts to fix it. I already know about those and they pretty much wasted my time.
Apple is making me really mad right now. I love their products, but this is just unacceptable.

Don't forget to mention the deep scratch the shop caused.

Yup, I mentioned that. I'm on hold. They're playing that cheesy music

Edit:
the lady is gonna contact my local Apple store.
We'll see what happens
