You mean I can't get my Sausage, Egg and cheese McGriddles with Apple pay ? I'm going to the Apple Store and demand a refund for this piece of crap iPhone 6+, no one will keep me from my 1,000 calorie delights.

You can still get them using :apple: pay, you just have to get your lazy butt out of the car and go inside. :p

Expect ALOT of cashiers (low end people, really) to not know about Apple Pay or if their place of work is accepting it.

It's up to the managers to train these low end employees so until that happens, expect a lot of confused looks from cashiers.

Just wait until someone drops their iPhone onto the pavement at a drive thru trying to touch their phone to the reader. Pay-drop-crack-gate.

My local Starbucks does not allow you to pay with the app at the drive-through for this reason.

With all these fast food partners, I hope hospitals are also getting :apple:Pay.

I've used Apple Pay twice now at the McDonald's drive-thru, and while it is a bit awkward having them hold their card terminal out the window, I imagine as this takes off they will probably either have a reader mounted outside the window, or something a little easier to hold out to the customer. Unless it's raining, I'll most likely continue to pay this way.

Lots of people are going to get awful fat trying out this Apple Pay business...
"Yay, MacDonalds took Apple Pay three times today and only refused once" :)

With the McDonalds/Apple Pay debacle getting mainstream attention, this thread got even more relevant now!

No, when businessinsider.com has a slow news day and turns the Macrumors thread you started into an article, that does not qualify as a "debacle." Nor would I even call it "mainstream."

Why the hell do people keep asking if the accept Apple Pay, stupidest question you can ask.

This is true in my area. I used ApplePay at my local Walgreens and the lady asked why I was trying to take a picture of the POS device. When ApplePay went through, she looked at me like I had done some sort of black magic to pay for my item. Then it took 5 minutes to explain it to her and she called her manager over to make sure I wasn't trying to steal something.

I just normally go:

"I would like to pay with my phone. Can you hold out the terminal?"

Works everytime
