It might but why do you need it? Even Youtube is moving away from flash to HTML 5 video which Safari and mobile already supports natively.

It can be more things than we imagine. Using his remote as a start, though, you have to imagine that there are more businesses than the one that sells the very expensive super remote controls that are worried about Apple ending their market share. Something this size with bluetooth, IR and wifi could take over a lot of hardware applications just by adding a little app to your tablet. The kindle will certainly go into the dump. I bet Wacom is sweating a little bit. Portable DVD players are done(Kind of already were done). Wait until a server at a high end restaurant brings you the wine list or menu on one of these. The printing industry may just collapse when devices like this really get into the market. Of course, the trend has been to offshore printing to Mexico and China. I imagine that other markets use offshore printers, as well. Of course, there are plenty of nations out there that will be years from adopting this level of technology. I just hope someone is still interested in printing text books for them.

If you are seriously assuming that running a NEW iphone os makes it just a big iphone, well i guess you're just not thinking are you. You realize they tweak the os a bit for each device right?
One thing is for sure: The thing is called the "Tabloid". The MH CEO said it TWICE, and only corrected himself the second time.
It will be an iPhone on steroids people. But a great new hardware design. The OS will be new and alot of the features will be available later for the iPhone cutting out the original iPhone etc.

First, he said it would be "based on" the iPhone OS. That means it will be some variant of a mobile OS. Not a phone.
What exactly would a killer feature be? Have you not heard all of the features reported to be included, all listed on this very site?
I guess that makes sense if you consider what a tabloid form factor is.

The Modbook people are going to be out of business pretty soon.
The tablet won't affect the market for mac os x pen-based computers.
