Ok, thanks.

So Lacero and Spicyapple were the same and was a he.

Guess that clears up things a bit, but raises some more questions as well.

I actually got a PM from Lacero at one point wondering if I was on another forum due to my avatar being similar to someone's on another forum. The username shows up in quite a few forums if you google it. It could become the new rickroll... go to a forum, create lacero, post as much as you (and your friends) can for a year to make a name for yourself and then disappear. Watch the speculation and hullabaloo when you leave.

I do remember a thread (I think about coffee), where Lacero mentioned a wife, however IIRC (s)he was Canadian so I guess that didn't necessarily mean what I think it means.

Interesting.

I enjoyed reading his posts in the past on PRSI forum.

Checking his user profile, I see that he still posts once in a while in various areas on MR.

There are a few who have retired from the PRSI forums, of course I keep mentally merging solvs and zimv20 so I guess I hadn't noticed zim's absence.

Yeah, I remember something along those lines as well. As well, "he" mentioned he was in BC and when "he" found out I was attending the CES in vegas, "he" even PMed me wanting to meet up since "he" was supposedly attending as well! Ah, fun times... ;) :D

You missed a great opportunity then; you could have answered the question once and for all!

...It might have been a little risky, but answers such as those are well worth risking your life! :p

I actually PMed back at the time, saying, "Sure, let's meet up" and tried to coordinate something, but surprisingly I received no response. ;)

That would be the wonderfully mad macgeek2005.

I tried looking at his member page and find the thread you were talking about but couldn't locate it. Someone mentioned it was something about 'the secret'. Do you maybe have a link to that?

Here is macgeek2005 on "enlightenment". Follow the links in the thread for more fun... particularly the kissing thread.

And... am I missing something? Where is Blue Velvet?

Well, at least you tried! :p

I thought bosuzoku was cool, though I have noooooooooo idea what happened to him :/

Tazo was cool too and iTag too (I think...)

I should post on the community forums more, but Facebook and Twitter has taken most of my socialization time :(

I think I remember him getting burned out as a mod after a while... trying to deal with all of the issues, the criticism and the drama... but yeah, he is missed too

Does anyone remember that person who wanted to put a G5 processor in his iBook G4? His name was nazmac or something like that. IIRC, he was banned not for his idiotic thread, but because he posted somewhere that he was 12.
Yeah, I remember he was one heck of a spambot. He got 500 posts in something like a week and a half.

I can't remember his name but back in the day there was a guy that only (or at least primarily) posted in the Mac sections - his locations was 'sum ergo sum' - he knew his stuff but he was the most argumentative guy I've ever seen on the forum.

thatwendigo ?

bosuzoku actually came back for a brief running (;)) visit a couple of weeks back.

Yeah, can't blame a bastard for trying! :D
True that!

I thought bosuzoku was cool
Yes he was. Miss him around these parts.

I think that sums it up well. In the earlier days, there were fewer mods.

Wow. That's a lot of posting.

That was a fun time! :)

You are referring to thatwendigo - I already mentioned him in my initial list in this thread. ;)

He's still around - he made a brief appearance just a couple weeks ago actually, it was god to chat with him again.

I remember tazo well. An opinion for everything!

I remember that kid too, he had a huge persecution complex. Not as bad as some posters I've seen more recently, but he was one of those types who wouldn't admit he was wrong when it was staring him in the face. He showed up in #macrumors too and spewed out the same garbage he did in the forums. Thankfully he got ejected from both. You can tell I'm not sad about that one bit. :D

How does one retire?

I believe only someone with god powers can retire an account, which is basically guesting it with a different title. It doesn't enable you to log in anymore and effectively disables it. Its usually only reserved for people who have been here for awhile and want to be self-banned from the site so to speak. I should know, I started it.
