No offense, but Lacero's was better. ;)

Well, it is about memories of colorful members. :D

I am trying to remember who it was that signed their posts "Luv ya bunches" or something like that.

PPC MORE BEAUTIFUL THEN ANYTHING!!!!!! DON MAD, DON SMASH CORE 2 DUO!!!!!:p:D

EDIT: Would you be referring lamina?

I'm jw, because I've never seen anyone on any forum that I've participated it hated so much

Then you haven't been on certain car forums.... there are members I know of who are almost universally hated by everyone else. Sometimes for being stupid, sometimes for being spoiled, self-important children, sometimes just for being a d!ck. Sometimes they get banned, and reappear under a new username.

I went to a get-together one time and a fight broke out because some disliked person showed up who had said a lot of crap about someone online. That person was there too, and laid the smack down on the e-thug.

I started here in July 2000 as "jefhatfield" (Juliana Hatfield) then later as "networkman", and Spikey was the first true personality here from '00-'02. Kela was fun and most don't know his/her gender. Edvniow was always great. Wdlove the nurse was the friendliest in those days. Kainjow is our oldest poster still here under his/her original handle. True777 was also an early one from '00 and '01.

Why did you leave as jefhatfield?

I remember you as jefhatfield and had heard there was a name change, but lost track.
Used to have a guitar for an avatar as I recall.

wdlove was kind and gracious... always... but took some abuse for it

I thought it was against the rules to register more than one time.

I believe this was with Mod blessings as I recall

Who wants to keep the same name forever and spend a full two years at the #1 poster position? Around that time, even my networkman handle was in the top four.

I chose 63dot because it became the guitar I wanted to buy the most, namely a 1963 ES-335 Dot from Gibson/Epiphone. I didn't have the money but I did get a similar guitar from Ibanez, the AS-73, with the f-holes and the dot position markers. :)

Why wouldn't you want to be known like that though? You loose the label as one of the founding members by doing what you did. If I had the top posting position, I would fight tooth and nail to keep it and never give it up. Maybe I don't get it because I'm a materialistic attention seeking teenager. I just don't understand.

I see. Thanks.

It's possible that Arn makes exceptions for those who wish to have a fresh start from a long "career" on the forums.
Makes sense.

My gosh, how many posts did you make to remain number 1 for so long?

In the early days, one or two thousand would do. I got past 8000 posts I think. In those days there were newbies, members, and senior members and a senior member had to have around 100 posts.

The earlier members and some mods know who I am. By this time, 63dot has made an identity here so I will stick with this one.

Edvniow became vniow and Dukestreet became Mr. Anderson.

Here you go! ;) :p :D

I wanted oatmeal:D

Ah, a statement that's only ever uttered to prove its inaccuracy.

Not going to get put in time out again must resist evil comment towards the commie:p

My momma always taught me you had to bring enough to share with everyone

I think your referring to lamina

Ah, memories. :D
Ugh, memories.

I recently quit playing the cello because I absolutely hate the orchestra conductor.
Play in a different orchestra?
I'm doomed to be some geek that lives with his Macs, and talks to the computerized voice for company.
Eh, after a while it just tells the same jokes over and over.

Kind of like my father. :p

So, does anyone remember paulwhannel at all? There doesn't seem to be any record of him left at all, aside from one text archive of my PMs where he (and wdlove) sent me a PM on one of my birthdays.

Thanks for the info.

I lurked for almost a year I think, then joined in July 2002. My membership number is under 8,000. So MR was still fairly small back then.
