I do... but some profiles are not just inactive or retired, they are removed
I believe that is true of the jefhatfield profile too

Only PM I ever got about a 'tar was to say it was hot, and it was the only time my 'tar was actually me! :D

It is now, but didn't used to be; you used to be allowed to register more than once so long as you weren't just re-registering after being banned.

I know my old jefhatfield handle is retired. I don't know what happened to the Dukestreet handle. He was a key player in the early days.

No other orchestra around for me to play in, I played in my school district's symphony orchestra.

My Mac can tell me 84,600 different times perday. In 20 different voices. That should keep me occupied for a while, but then it will start to b!tch at me like my Mom does because I talk to the computer:D

Personally I think that you could say that some of us know each other nowadays. I would go as far to say, that everyone who has a couple hundred posts on the forums are part of a closely knit family.

no, its definitely different. there was a lot more 'banter' and 'inside jokes' going around, even when i first signed up. with the influx of people over the years things have been muddled. there are many more forums now than when it first started and so many more people posting that where a couple hundred posts used to mean a lot and you'd know the person, its now thousands in some cases. there are people with avatars that i've never seen before at times. its just because we don't frequent the same forums, or they stay in one area that i don't venture into etc.

OK, let me rephrase... those of us who are well known within specific sub forums are like a close knit family. No I don't consider myself part of any of these families yet, after all, I've only made 400 posts in the last 3 months:p

And damn all of you who keep posting right after I post:D

I saw the thread title in the forum list, and assumed a memorial thread to past MR members.
