Quick styling question (my wife is tired of me talking about the Apple Watch so I'm asking here).

Do you all think this color combo looks OK? I really want the Space Grey sport watch, but also want the brown leather loop to wear at work and in social settings. I think this looks fine, but again, I also have worn a blue shirt with blue jeans and blue sweatshirt (my wife quickly corrected this :) ). Otherwise, I guess I'll have to go with the silver aluminum sport.

I think the renders look fine, but how it will look IRL may be different. The good news is you can always return just the band with that combination.

I am playing it safe with my "stock" band, so I do not have to return the watch b.c I do not like the band it came with.

Nonetheless, I think your wrist is bigger than that, but either way, the 42mm looks fine on you.

Whereas, on my wrist it looks HUGE.

I'm sure that my wrist are 160mm:)
Anyway-i've decided and thats it;)
I think i was obsessed with the size...
In worst case( in our countrey AW is not available yet- so i will order from UK, and will not be able to return it like in usa, so in the worst scenario i will sell it :)

people need to remember that 160mm wrist can look very different. So people have more room on the top of their arm (edge to edge). That is really what matters, not the total circumference of your wrist.

Is there any reason not to just order both a 38 and a 42, then return the one that doesn't fit as well?

Yeah, I'm even torn between the brown leather band and blue leather band. I think the blue looks better with the black, but my leather shoes I wear to work are brown (orangeish brown) and my knockaround shoes are the same color as this brown leather loop. So even torn on which leather band to go with, and then what watch to get.

This is ridiculous as 90% of the time I am not at all fashion conscious and don't have a clue what I'm even doing.

Regardless of my wrist size, I want the smallest, least invasive watch possible. I'm not and have never been a watch guy - for telling the time, I have a phone in my pocket, so why encumber my wrist with a device that only tells the time?

Anyway, I wanted a fitness tracker with notifications and had a fitbit force before it was recalled (it was supposed to get a software update enabling notifications), and I was happy with the slim form factor. That said, after sending it back, I decided to hold off on getting a replacement for it until the apple watch, as I was pretty turned off by the customer support of fitbit and the fact that they removed support for apple's health app.

I'm not thinking of the Apple Watch as a watch, really. For me, it's a fitness tracker with notifications, and a productivity enhancing device. The smaller and lighter, the better - it's all about function, comfort and minimalism for me.

I have around a 175mm wrist and I'm going 38mm space grey sport. If the 38mm and the 42mm were the same price, I'd still choose 38mm.

Finally, someone who thinks like me.

I'm getting the watch for fitness, quick glances at notifications, and siri while I'm commuting. Not planning to do full on computing with it, therefore I'm going 38mm. I have pretty average sized wrists.

I had the Moto 360 at launch and it was just way too big.

For me, no reason at all to not do that. I guess it could be a money thing for some people. Being on the fence, it only makes sense to order both. I would hate to order just the 38mm, want the 42mm instead, and it not be in stock.

I want the 42mm, but between the extra $50 and my small wrist (6 1/8" or 155.575mm), it looks like the 38mm space grey aluminum.

That picture definitely seals the deal. A 42mm would look huge on my wrist.

Yep! Are you? I'd rather have the larger screen, but I was born with small wrists

Yea as much as I don't want to, I also feel like I need to order the 38mm. I'm also gonna make a try-on appointment for the afternoon just to confirm my choice. I have been using the 5S Apple Store app and the 42mm just looks huge. I also have to order my wife's otherwise I'd order both just in case. But I hear there is a limit.

I'm also going order an additional sports band for my wife and also one for me.

Here are my photos of 38mm and 42mm mockups.

I've attached photos of 38mm and 42mm. My wrist is about 155-160mm depending on how tight you make the band.

I'm planning on going with the 38mm; for the size and the reduction in weight.

I've changed my mind about a dozen times already, but I'm starting to think about getting the 38mm, even though my wrists around 190mm. I really don't care for the overly smartwatchy look that I see on a lot of people wearing the watch in the reviews (it seems that all the review models were 42mm models).

I'm starting to back to 42mm due to the reviews and how not big they look on those guys wrists. I'm at 160mm. I am so confused, this is pretty ridiculous. LOL.

Its weird cause the height looks weird but the width looks fine on the larger on because my wrist is long. Holy **** this is confusing.

Edit: Gotta stick with my gut. Gotta stay 38mm and stay strong.

Seeing this makes me want a 38mm but I have a G-Shock I've measured which is 45mm (my wrists are 165mm TIGHT using a tape measure) so I think the 38mm might look small compared....

I've been settled on 42mm all along in my head this entire time since the announcement. Now that we're close to pre-orders, I'm 2nd guessing myself.

I've always felt like I have skinny wrists but I'm at 185mm and I'm seeing a lot of people here posting in the 160-175mm range going 38mm. Ugh, I don't know...I'll stick with 42mm for now, I guess.

I like the idea of wrist width and not just circumference. I'm at 170 / 63 and the 42mm mockup seems to be just perfect. I normally wear a casio that is about 51mm post to post and 45mm wide.
