I have a 155mm wrist... I badly want the 42mm, but I know it will look too big. Anyone with a wrist this small getting a 42mm? I actually like the modern buckle, so I'm fine with 38mm, but I don't want it to limit how I interact with my watch because it's too small

I have 165mm wrists. The obvious choice I think is the 38mm but I also wear an original pebble almost everyday. Looking at the measurements of the pebble and cutouts, I begin to think the 42mm would be good too. What do you guys/gals think?

I also have 165mm wrists. I've worn my 42mm citizen nighthawk without issue, a pebble steel and g-shock which are all bigger. So I'm going with the 42mm apple watch.

If I really think it's too big after a week I can return it for the smaller one.

I have similar sized wrists and based on the cutouts I feel like the 38 makes my wrist look smaller for some reason. I didn't really like it so I am going for a 42.

I've got small wrists, around 155mm, yet have been wearing an original Pebble for what I guess must be around two years now.

The Pebble is taller (52mm total?) than the Apple Watch, and chunkier looking.

I want a 42mm Apple Watch, because of the increased screen size, but have been worried that it would be too big, despite not being as big as the Pebble (which had no size choice, so I just had to accept its chunkiness).

I've tried the 1:1 cut-outs, and the 42mm Watch doesn't look too bad to me. Yes, it's big... but it's not as big as my Pebble.

My wife thinks that the 42mm is fine.

I'm going to pre-order a 38mm and a 42mm just to make sure, then make a try-on appointment and cancel the one I decide against.

165mm wrist here (tight). I cannot decide for the life of me between the 2. Using cutouts from the WSJ, can I get some opinions? 42mm (white) on left, 38mm (blue) on right.

Both look pretty good IMO. I'm around the same wrist size and I'm going with the 42 personally

most men will have bigger wrist i assume. i tried it on earlier and 42mm is the way to go. 38mm is too small viewing wise. no doubt 42mm will sell more

All day have gone back and forth on size, tried on cutouts, used the app for sizes. Finally have settled on the 38mm. 165mm wrists here with 45mm across. The 42mm just looks too clunky. I'm seeing it on instagram and most of the time it just looks too damn big. I don't want a mini phone on my wrist.

I used measuring tape to measure my wrist, I'm about 16-17cm (so 160-170mm). I can't print any cutouts. What do you guys suggest? I like that the 42mm is bigger, but I'm concerned that that size would be too large for me.

As everyone, i'be changed 100 times about the size. And I won't test it before to buy. So is one shoot.
I have a 160mm wrist with a wheigh of 45/50 mm. 42 mm is too risky. I will go for the 38 mm hoping that battery doesn't run out quickly.

After trying on both today I'm as confused as ever. Initial reaction was that both are smaller than they look in photos. I tried the 42 and it seemed just right for my 170mm wrist. The 38 is tiny.

But when I tried the 38, it seemed to sit a bit better. The Apple guy even said he thought the 38 looked slightly better on my wrist.

The interface looks tiny on the 38 though.

It's going to be tough to decide. But I guess the positive is that either works for me.

I keep looking at the 42 mm and thinking... but that's too big! I don't want a watch to take up ALL of my wrist. So...

38, same angle.

Sorry for multiple posts, can't figure out how to upload multiple pics on the iPhone.

38mm definitely. I'm personally not a fan of the watch taking up the entire width of the wrist.

I have a extensive collection of Diving and Aviation watches. I have a Invicta diver in my collection that is 58mm!! Yes 58mm, but its the watch i get the MOST compliments on. Damn near every time i wear it too.

Guess which size i am going for :p. Apple, 45mm for the 2nd gen please :)

But I'm going 42mm SG with black sport band to start, and wait for possible 3rd party bands to drop in black stainless steal to perhaps dress it up. Primarily I'm using it for fitness and a daily driver, I'm in the gym 6 plus days a week.

My wrist is 155mm. I'm looking at the 38mm, but not sure about the 'tiny' display. Sure, I could go into the store tomorrow and try them on, but I run the risk of being delayed if there really is a shortage.

I hope to decide by 3am.

Go with the 38mm. It's what I'm doing and I have the same sort of proportions.

When you were wearing the 38mm and 42mm, which felt more natural? Any other impressions?

The 42 felt good and totally usable for my wrist size. But the 38 seemed a bit more discreet and a better fit. However I wasn't able to actually use the 38 as they only have demos for the 42mm. So I can't say how the interface will feel at the smaller size. Which is frustrating.

Compared to the LG G watch I've used the 42 was much more compact. But that lg watch was massive.
