I ordered the 42mm Space Grey Sport :apple: Watch. 4mm doesn't sound like a big difference, but there is a noticeable difference. The 42mm suited me perfectly! I can't wait to get it

I was vocally determined the 38mm was fine for me, a big guy. I was wrong. I now have both a 38mm and 42mm on order. I'm hoping to get my 42 before the return date of the 38.

42mm!

Wow, I just tried them on in person, and the 38mm is SO small! I was shocked because in the pictures 38/42 looks kinda big. My wrist is pretty small for a guy...around 150, and even I found 38mm too small. Funny thing is, in the pictures I took with the 42mm, it looks like a calculator in my wrist, but in person, not at all.

I have 150mm and this is what they look like on my wrists.

42mm looks kind of big on a 150mm. Think I'm leaning on 38mm.

Okay I went to the Apple Store and need your help what looks better.

38mm.

When in doubt, it's a pretty good bet that the 38mm looks better. I see lots of people trying to convince themselves that the 42mm "looks fine in real life", but it doesn't.

I have a 180mm wrist / 60mm wide, and the 38mm looks better on me than the 42mm.

If there is no way for you to get an other band than the sports band, you should take the 38mm Watch.
But if you are planing to buy for example a leather loop band in Futute or one from a complete other company, you maybe can buy the 42 and get a second band really fast :)

Personally, it looked fine to me; to each its own.

I thought the 38mm interface was TINY in person. Then again, I wear glasses. The pictures and videos are very deceitful.

I cant understand someone with more than 160mm Wrists who are a man and who has a 60mm with.
I think i will go with 42mm and have 150mm Wrists and 50mm with.

The images of the 42mm may look a bit large due to the larger (m/l) band used for the tryouts. For me, this meant using the very last hole, and the resultant excess slack wrapped all the way around my wrist. It looked like I was wearing two bands.

I really think people are trying to justify going the larger screen rather than the right proportions. If Apple offered a 46mm, it would be "38 vs 46, screw the 42".

The reality is do you want to look great with it on you or do you want the bigger screen. Thats for people who are between 50mm and 70mm wrist width.

Had another try on appointment today, just to compare the 38mm vs 42mm. Yes, I'm still struggling. Opinions are graciously sought and appreciated. :)

The silver sport with white band is the 38mm. The black sport with black band is the 42mm.

Not the reality at all. As many stated, the 38mm really does feel small in person. My girlfriend told me it looked like the female version and she was actually leaning towards me getting the 38mm before we went to the Apple store.

Everyone has different wrist sizes and preferences about sizing. To imply get the 38mm if you wanna look great is ridiculous.

There's a reason many people cancelled their orders after seeing them in store. I think men are more than capable of looking "great" in the 42 as well

Yesterday I went to the Apple store and had a try on my wrist. The 42 one is really impressive since it is not big as I thought before. I think 42 is the best choice for men.

Yeah, I had the same complaint. They don't even have any of the S/M bands on hand to try out the 42mm. I ended up putting the white 38mm S/M band on just to see what it looked like without the excess bulk at the top.

In the end, I still prefer the size of the 38mm.
