OLD WIVE'S TALE. This is just not true.

Like I said, I didn't think it was true, I just don't understand how the OP can stand to shave his whole body every few days. I don't have that kind of time/motivation; I would give up after a few minutes and just look really weird (kind of like Steve Carrell in The Forty Year Old Virgin after he got semi-waxed).

I was thinking the same thing! Wouldn't this be awfully time consuming? Seems pretty obsessive to me as I find shaving my face to be bothersome. Wouldn't you have to do this several times a week for it to actually serve it's goal?
Ya, it is enough of a pain in the ass to just shave my face. Why would I want to add more. Plus it gets cold here in the winter. I need all the hair I can get.
Trim with a trimmer and then a razor.
I'm doing that with my pubes.
I don't trust any moving parts near my moving parts. I tend to sneeze a lot.

I'm 19 and I only shave my face, hate doing that as it is. I'm a really hairy guy and I'm covered in hair. I only shave or wax my back hair if I know I need to, but I never shave my chest, for anyone. I like it alot. I don't follow that whole thing where men need to be hairy because they are supposed to be masculine. If you don't like your body hair, go ahead and shave it, I happen to like mine. so there ;)

Oh absolutely. I've always hated mine. Maybe it's because I hit puberty before all of the other guys at school. It sucked being the only kid who shaved in the 5th grade. :) Then it started sprouting everywhere and before I knew it, I looked like Austin Powers. :( It was always warm and itchy and I always felt like I couldn't keep myself clean. So- I got rid of it. If other people like theirs, great! I always hated it.

...trimmed nether regions really roger my hammerstein.

Okay, I can NOT believe we've gone 5 pages and NOBODY commented on this. Funniest thing I've read all day!
My girlfriend works in theater, so I'm totally stealing this for use later this evening. I'll report my findings in the morning. :D

^^ Didn't they do that show 'Pipe Dream'?

I can understand trimming, really. The bald look doesn't do anything for me personally, but I really can understand why some people trim, especially when it's in an area that jostles around and can 'abrade' with regular wear.

I figure I'll be bald soon enough as I age, I'll keep what I have for now and just make sure it's landscaped appropriately.

I'm all for it. Especially if the guy is nice and muscular, it looks great. Wax/shave it all off, pits, legs, the works! :D

Thank you, I am muscular. I work out a little bit. I'm toned. It would be weird if I wasn't muscular.

I shave "Down there" (Includes the rear end BTW LoL) as it feels better after a run or something:D.

I won't say I haven't tried shaving various body parts--and at one time there was some enjoyment to shaving the unmentionable regions--but now I leave all body hair alone and only trim the nether regions reasonably. (I only grow a very tiny tuft of blonde, soft hair on the small of my back and I leave that alone too. YES! BACK HAIR! Get over it. I've actually found some back hair to be very attractive on a guy before--but there is gross back hair too. It really just depends. Anyway, I might shave if the hair like on my chest was also on my back, but I guess I have lucky genes so far. Anyway, I digress. Point is, I don't shave.)

Hair is natural, and hairy is sexy.

I actually find a man unattractive if he has no chest hair (with the possible exception of a huge bodybuilder, but then again, he'd be hotter with hair), unappealing and non-sexual if he has no pubic hair (it's too close to emulation of a prepubescent state to me), and it's grotesque to see a man with no leg hair, underarm hair, or forearm hair (as in--wtf, why would you do that? about as attractive as someone with no eyebrows).

Body hair is a secondary sexual characteristic, and as masculinity and a sexualized state are attractive to me, it is therefore attractive. I don't mind people who shave their backs or shoulders or trim their pubes and keep everything in check if their genetics can cause undesired thickness of hair growth, but men who shave completely, to me, are feminizing their bodies. I don't get how this is desirable.

Only in the good ole US of A. I believe most of us Europeans still wish to look like men even those who bat for the other side. Sorry I dont get it. I will put it in the same box as marrying livestock, Gee-double-ya and cars that cannot turn corners.

Okay. I don't know if you're being funny or not, but that is only a small portion of this country. Not everyone voted for Bush, I don't think that marrying livestock is that big a phenomena in this country, and I personally curse out anyone I see driving a Hummer. So you can see, America is not all bad, just bad in certain places.

Alright anyone who has not seen this before should know that it's pretty gross. Anywho, it's a story of some guy who shaved the hair on his butt . Don't know if it's true or not but the detail is pretty hilarious. (bad language)

That was hilarious, I just want to know how you managed to stumble across that one.
