Carrying on from the other 80s thread, I wore pink in the 80's and I am still getting over it.

I think the fashion for it recently is more of a statement than a casual personal preference. It's to lure women into a false sense of security 😛

What you wear all depends on your personality. I bet the more out-going people can wear pink and not be questioned.

The way people are today, I don't think it is very accurate to judge people by what they wear at all (within reason).

I bought a pink crushed velvet outfit - long jacket and loons - at a head shop in Sydney in 1971, which I wore quite often, much to my parents' chagrin, until I caused an accident between two transfixed taxi drivers in Rome, and decided it was possibly a little too spectacular.

Were 70s crushed velvet outfits sort of like Juicy Suits, or something different?

Is it very tight and reminiscent of bad sunburn?
Could be.. could be..

No, its not tight, its quite loose, and its light pink.

Although I have a shirt which fits the sunburn description perfectly, I hate it.

I hate being outcamped by those damned metro's and pseudo-chavs.

These days if I go camping, I have to up the ante and wear my pink Hello Kitty skinny T shirt.

word.
