Currently when cycling I use a pair of standard wired apple ear pods. My requirements are to be able to talk to Siri and make phone calls whilst cycling. I find the Apple EarPods are excellent in the wind up to about 35-40 km/h and people have no trouble hearing me when I talk (and puff) in a normal voice.

In anticipation for the apple watch, I tried a pair of Bluetooth plantronics FITs and found Siri kept miss-understanding me and callers could not hear me. What wireless earphone or ear buds (what's the difference?) should I buy? I imagine the issue with the plantronics is that the mic/s are located on the ear pieces. I notice the beats 2 Bluetooth have a control and mic in line and closer to the mouth like the standard Apple EarPods. So my question is "What wireless EarPods will legitimately replace my Apple wired EarPods for being able to hear me talk?"

So I think I'm gonna retire my iPod shuffle and start using my Apple Watch (when it arrives) for my music whilst working out.

The thing is I don't really know what Bluetooth headphones to buy. I'm not that bothered about sound quality if I'm being honest, more price, battery life and comfort.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

LOL haven't you read all (almost 300 posts) of recommendations yet?! ;)

Are there any bluetooth headphones that can easily switch between 2 or 3 devices? My use case scenario is that I want to use them for the watch when I'm travelling to work, but then for my iPad when I'm watching something on my lunch break.

My experience is only with Bluebuds X. You pair them with your devices and it stays paired to the last device you were connected to. To switch, select it in the Bluetooth menu on your other device (inactive) and then you'll get an audible that says "connection switched". Done. :) do the Beats wireless (powerbeats2 and solo2) do this as well?

Ok. Need help. What Bluetooth headset do you use with your watch?

At the gym. Running. Etc. what Bluetooth headset do you wear?

Seems the new craze is the around the neck Bluetooth. That's replaced in ear wireless pieces and the over the ear headsets. I do like the look of it

Since my girlfriend and I both got Apple Watches, we of course needed to get some Bluetooth headphones to match :roll eyes:

We were on the fence between two models which are the most popular on the web. The following are my findings so far:

1. Jaybirds Bluebuds X
Normally these are $169, but Bestbuy has them one sale right now for $124.99. So we went there today and bought the last two they had.

Personally, I didn't like the feel of them. I think my ear canal is smaller than most. I needed to use the smallest bud cups and that made the music sound horrible. If I pushed them in and held them there, I would get better sound quality and deeper bass. However, my girlfriend likes them and decided to keep them. I will hold onto mine for a couple weeks and see if I like the Beats; which I am getting to below ;)

2. Beats Powerbeats 2
I was never a fan of Beats headphones. Too overpriced and the ones I tested in the past just didn't have the sound I was looking for. Plus, I am not the type that wants huge headphones on my head. I am perfectly fine using the default Apple wired ones that come with the iPhone. They sound great. I digress...So, my friend was over the other day and had a pair of the Powerbeats and I asked how they were. He praised them and said they worded great. I wasn't too happy with the 6 hour battery life, but they looked nice and I like the wrap around the ear piece.

After being a tad disappointed with the Jaybirds, I went online and found a sweet deal on a pair of Powerbeats 2 for $130 with free shipping. I know, crazy right?! They will be here this week and I will update this post with more details and my thoughts. I hope these will sound better than the Jaybirds did for me.

None until there are decent Bluetooth headphones that match the value of wired headphones. You'd need to spend $100+ to match the quality of $20 headphones.

I am waiting for Earin.com or the Bragi Dash headphones. They are still finishing them, but they seem to be the best options in my opinion. I like the Bragi Dadh more to to their increased capabilities.

No doubt wired will trump Bluetooth headsets every time. But I don't want a wire running to my iPhone

Wired internet trumps wifi every time too. But wireless has many advantages...namely....its wireless

I bought the Jaybuds X today. The sound is incredible - Bluetooth headsets have come a LONG way. I tried these and the Beats on at the Apple Store and ironically the Beats sounded more tinny in sound.

The Bluebuds took a while to set up in that you have to find what size earplug fits best and which wing to hold it in your ear. Once you do though, it's awesome.

I'm currently sitting in the bath listening to tunes and using the watch to navigate iTunes Match on my iPhone which is sitting on a table in my bedroom. Life is good. :)

If only they made a good wireless version of the Bose ie2 or Soundtrue. The sound, fit and design is hands down better than any other earbud I've ever tried, and I've tried many. I may have to look at the Beats 2 to use with my watch to see how they stack up.

None. My Sony headphones won't connect .

Can't wait for Watch OS version 1.1 where you can connect headphones, sync playlist, and have the new emojis!!!

Mpow Cheetah Sport. Pretty good in ears at that price tag. Running with them myself.

They're Bluetooth, but I don't know if they work with the Watch.
